I just read all 38 pages of this build. I'm speechless, other than, your brilliant work and dedication to the machine is apparent.

So I've been searching for an answer on this all day and haven't seem to find it. Looks to be that you may or may not have installed the ge8 cylinder head now... by switching the the ge8 cylinder head does that cut off control of IMA ?

While I had my interior apart to install my Recaros and black carpet, I decided to finally wire up the JDM fuel lid lock actuator that I bought a few months back. I pretty much did it because I just like finding and doing JDM wiring projects for no reason and not because I have that much concern over the security of my fuel...

Parts Needed:
ACTUATOR ASSY., FUEL LID - 74700-SZT-G01
GROMMET, FUEL FILLER ADAPTER - 74490-SZT-G00
NUT, PAINT CUTTING (6MM) - 90361-SV4-003
FUSE, BLADE (10A) - 38221-SNA-A41

The electrical connector and wiring just happen to be the same as the CR-Z EX subwoofer connector, so I bought a CR-Z floor harness on ebay to sacrifice to get another one for the fuel lock actuator. I have found a few other uses for the connectors and wiring that have come out of this harness...
Do you by chance have the part number for the floor harness you used? I searched the wire harnesses in the Honda parts catalog and wasn't able to find it. I don't want to accidentally buy a harness for the base model that won't have the subwoofer connector.

EDIT: So the center floor harness is not actually listed under the "WIRE HARNESS" category despite its name. It's under "SRS UNIT" which is why I couldn't locate it. Assuming this is the only floor harness in the car, the 2011 EX part number is 77962-SZT-A30

As far as I know, no other CR-Zs are doing this. A few other Hondas are having this problem, so I've been searching about other forums for insight and it all seems to point to the CKP. Hondata has addressed the issue for these other Hondas with a disable for the misfire detection. I though it was a done deal with the FlashPro update for the CR-Z, but apparently not... I'm going to replace the sensor itself and see what happens with that... I got nothing after that...

Hopefully, Hondata will be taking a look at my logs soon and figure this out...

Anyways, I really hope the HPD ECU has something different about it where this won't happen... They are also offering a clutch, so I'd imagine there would be better compatibility with something other than stock. As much as I hate this misfire crap, I will not go back to the stock clutch...

My car is so lucky that the Nismo IDx isn't out yet...
Hi Item9
How are you and others able to get HDP parts as their web page seems a bit locked down just for racers?
As I wonder how much the centre muffler and diffuser are?
Cheers

Okada Projects Plasma Direct Coils

Getting back into my build thread with some mods... It's been awhile... I kinda needed a break after all these mishaps I've been having with my car, so I've been avoiding my build thread for a bit. Dragon is coming up, so it's go time now...

With forced induction it couldn't hurt to have a little more spark, so I decided to do some coils. Not expecting much powerwise, but hopefully it will run even smoother, more reliably and maybe pick up some fuel efficiency. They look pretty nice too...

Anyways, on to the pics:

Catching up on some replies...

I also just finished reading your entire build thread. I am very impressed with your attention to detail and the excellent information you provide to members on here.

Job well done!

Nick C.
Thanks for the compliments! Detail is pretty much my middle name...

Hi ITEM9,
May I know where you buy the HKS Catalyzer from?
It looks like I can use it for Honda Fit GE...
Thanks

EDIT:
I found them on Amazon Japan and Rakuten,
their part number are: 33005-AH003
Yes, I got it through a vendor on rakuten. Hopefully, it does fit ok on your GE8... If not, I'm sure you can find someone here to take it off your hands...

Since we're all in here talking about him . . . I'll add mine . . .

Item9 is HOT! :hi5::hi5:
Damn right.

Thanks for the compliments! I try to keep it pretty condensed without a lot of chit-chat, so it could have a lot more pages to get through it!

The ICE and IMA are completely separate systems, so a head swap will have no effect on the IMA.

:) amazing skills sir :) you put so much attention to all the details love it :)
Thanks! The details make all the difference!

It is actually the driver's side harness that I got and not the floor harness. I just called it that because it ran along the floor on the driver's side. The driver side harness is an expensive one to buy brand new though... Over $300. I found mine on eBay for around $160, but I haven't seen another one since that. That connector might exist in other harnessed though. If you have an EX with the subwoofer you should take a good look at the subwoofer connector to get familiar with it and try to see if you can pick it out from pictures of harnesses on eBay and such. I've found many connectors I've needed this way...

I don't think the parts can be ordered directly from HPD, but they can be ordered from any USDM Honda dealer. I'm not aware of any that would ship internationally though... You might have to have someone forward it for you. You are looking at about $1000 for the exhaust and about $300 for the diffuser before any shipping costs...

I have one on the way, so I'll measure and weigh it while all boxed up so we can get an idea of what the shipping costs might be... which will probably be somewhat painful...

Thanks for that, is there any for of catalogue as to what they do for CR-Z?
