No negative impact on mileage. I still get around 45 mpg driving aggressively. When I'm hampered by traffic, 48-50 comes pretty easily. I did drop my psi by 13 recently and still maintained my high mileage.

So for this mod does it matter what year of the Fit I order the manifold from? I have a 2012 CRZ ex AT. Just want to make sure that I get the right parts.

The 2009-2013 Fit (Honda skipped 2014 Model Year), any trim, has the same part number Weigaldo listed, 17110-RB1-000, which fits any current model (2010-2014) CR-Z.

The 2015 Fit's EarthDreams engine is totally different and doesn't have separate intake manifold and chamber parts, and is plastic.

Here is something that will help those with the "As tight as you can method!"

Definitely an Inch lb torque wrench is recommended. Plastic heating and cooling...you get my drift.

will this mod affect California smog?

No, it should not. I don't think they will even test what is coming out your tail pipe. Just a DLC check. You can fail a visual inspection if the smog tech know that the intake is from another car, but this will not do anything big enough for the ecu to super compensate for.
