Stu's daily driver build thread (Feat: Spoon, K & N, iJDMToy, NRG and other goodies)
Honestly, when I got the CR-Z I never expected to be able to put together a build thread, and as such never bothered taking too many photos when I first got it. However, after a terrible beginning (several small "dings" from passers by and from Brooklyn street-side parking) and then a complete rebuild after an accident with an unlicensed driver the time has come to actually do something with it. The car is my daily driver and also my work "van", so I have to maintain the cargo area in the back which means that I can't put in a rear strut or any form of major amp/sub combo. So without anymore crap, lets get to the pics.
First of all, this was a couple of weeks after I first got it, before anything bad happened to her. At this point all I had done was de-badged her, plastidipped the logos and got rid of the dealer plate holders.
This was when I began making in-roads to getting tints and beginning the mod process, then 3 weeks later the was off the road with almost $15K in damage.
So, in 2012 she got an overhaul which included tints (both window and taillight) and the addition of some goodies (T1R's and the Spoon wide angle rear mirror)
Tints are 35% on the front, 15% on the back
In the below picture you can still see her scar from where someone hit her with a shopping cart
Taillights are wrapped tints, not sprayed.

I'm hoping to be able to order the K&N Typhoon tomorrow (if I can sneak it past the wife without her seeing the bill) :bricks:
Other mods that I have planned at this point are lowering springs (still making a final decision on exact ones), new exhaust system, in-dash GPS, clazzio covers, armrest, NRG hood dampers, new rims (still making final choices again) and also thinking of switching out the plasti-dipped logos for JDM's. I'm also contemplating Viper, but not 100% sure on that yet.
