Hello all,

New to the forums here. I have a minor problem with my windows. The small felt seal on the bottom side of both front windows are literally just flapping about inside my doors at this point. I can't seem to find any information about this part or anything regarding a fix, or even it's NAME. Included is a picture of what i'm talking about from a rando Z from google. Any help is appreciated, hopefully I can begin to seal my car back up as anytime it rains, the inside of all my windows are fogged up with humidity.

Thought I’d add to this thread rather than create a new one. When I put my windows down any ‘misting’ or rain etc doesn’t clear at all. Is it time to replace the weatherstrip with the parts mentioned above or are the seals not supposed to clear the windows? The ‘felt’ has dried out on them quite a bit.

If I understand you correctly they are not supposed to clear the windows. Consider Rain X for the outside and cleaning the inside and outside very well with a non ammonia glass cleaner like Stoners Invisible glass and then for the misting/fogging on the inside you can also consider Rain X anti fog if issue still occurs after the good glass clean. You will not believe how much grey comes off the glass when cleaned properly. Clean glass first prior to applying Rain X.

When cleaning glass go vertical on one side and horizontal on the other so you can see which side the streaks are on.

I replaced my window seals because they were shot, but they still don't clear water from the glass- they just provide a seal when the window is fully closed.
If you watch the door as the window moves you'll see that the seal is not in contact with the glass until it hits the top, at that point the door skin actually deflects slightly moving the seal against the window.

Hi guys,

I am aware that this post is quite old, however I was hoping to get some advice. I have recently realised that the outside seal on my crz has started perishing (I have attached photos explaining what I mean). I have a 2010 model and right side steering as I am in the UK but I was hoping to get some advice on getting a replaced part, I am aware that the part number is provided in an earlier post, however I am unsure if that will fit my car as the description on website says models 2011 and upwards.

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks,
