Amy got her picture on RSP's website, taken during cars and coffee earlier this month…

Lookin' good Canada-Dood!

Been reading thru the Jackson SC thread. I am so tempted.
Thanks!

Re the SC: DO IT, It will be the last mod that 2Pac will ever ask you for! :wiggle:

Me a be a think'n that for RTS, the JRSC would not be the last mod.. Would require additional stabilizing mods, bigger brake kit and what not.. With that said, RTS, you need a JRSC.. looking forward to it..

Bigger brakes - Project Mu front and rear: Check
Spoon FSB: Check
Stabilizing mods???

Is that a cure for moditus in a blister pack?

:eek:fftopic:

I hope you don't mind if I peck yer brain about the JRSC. If you prefer, I will do it in PMs so as not to pollute yer build thread any further. This is way down the road tho.

:hail: to Canada-Dood and his SC

Yeah, whatever….

You are probably best to ask here or in the JRSC thread (I'll gladly reply in either place), as my PM's are almost full from others asking the same questions!!! Apparently, I am now an expert on this. I used to be a "pert" you understand, but I gave that up. :)

I can tell you that, other than better tires on 17" wheels, and upgraded pads to the stock brakes, I have no stopping or suspension mods. I would like the Spoon FSB that you have and ITEM9 raves about, but I have to put a limit on the mods somewhere. The supercharger was pretty spendy (amounts to an addition of probably just under half of the car's market value!!!). At least it is removable, but I have no plans to do so (the phrase "from my cold, dead hands" comes to mind).

However, I have not tried to tame any dragons with the car in its current configuration. My best guess is that I'd be in flames down a cliff, if I tried to run it like ITEM9's videos the way my car is now. But for having some fun on highways and rural roads, it's just great. I have not met a lizard, gecko, or iguana that could not be pacified!

Got tired of having the ScanGauge II in the cupholder, so I got real brave and mounted it:

Image

Involved dremmeling out the chrome trim piece, and drilling the mounting plate behind it.

Wiring all tucked away, and looks good. I still don't know much about it, except that the Cold Engine light goes out at 125'F, and the thermostat starts opening somewhere over 175. I'm happy enough to get that information. Might explore what else it can do, when I get the chance.

Also, bought a fresnel lens, and installed it in the corners of the back lower window, for better rearward visibility when backing up out of a parking space

DIY HERE.

Have you ever thought about the 350z air vent bumper mod? That would feed air right into that behemoth.
True - but I'm scared to cut into my baby!
According to Jackson, there is plenty of airflow as is, and I personally prefer the look without it, but now you've got me thinking…. No, must ...not ...click …on ...that!!! :)

Awesome stuff dooode! :)
Thanks, OPEYEMC! Much appreciated.

Oh, I backed into a lined parking space yesterday for the first time since my fresnel lens install. I'll have to take pictures, but you can see everything much clearer, almost right down to the back of the car! Just like a camera. I was up in the air as to whether I was going to keep these on, but after seeing that, they're staying.

Are you talking about this? B-rad - I saw his and it's way cool
:yeahthat:
Oh yeah, you two are very helpful. Not! :tong:
I'm trying to save money right now, and you are practically forcing my finger on the mouse button.

RTS, you come up here and install it for me, and I'll do it!

---

I have actually seen this on Rustbucket's ride, and it is a very aggressive-looking and functional mod. More attractive on a black, white, or silver ride, IMO, but definitely has a purpose. But with the car going into hibernation in a few months, I think I'll let Amy sleep on this idea for now.

For the moment, I'm saving my pennies, though, because I just signed a contract to have a new building put up on the farm. They call it a "drive shed" in this neck of the woods - part hay storage, and part shop / garage for Amy, George (the tractor), and various implements. Even without electric, plumbing, or HVAC, the dang thing's gonna cost as much as my friend's 2013 Boxter!!! That just doesn't add up, IMHO. But it needed to be done. So, any mods for the next little while are going to be limited to what I already have prepared but not installed, or what I can do on the absolute cheap! :)

That building sounds a lot like my Uncle (a dairy farmer in Upstate NY) would call a pole barn. Very bare bones, concrete slab beams and siding. That about right?

Pretty much right on the money.
Plywood sheathing inside the walls, but other than that, you've hit the nail on the head.
No engine, not exhaust, no radio or navi.
Not even "factory" wheels. No Sport Plus button, either!

A place to do future mods, though!
Meanwhile, just gonna be a muddy mess, and a bunch of equipment for the horses to spook at. Booo!
