Tryin' first install of heated seats -anybody tell me if i need to run power from a "Add a circuit" kit for each heated seat? ...or...do I have to run two "hot" outta fuse box or can i splice into the two? thanks in advance..reason I ask- my bible says fuse spot 40 is heated seat- 41 blank? so- run one outta 40, other from 41--or --one line outta 40/ split--

just finished heated seat install- nice weekend project! hooked up directly to fuse box, using fuse box number forty- hid wires underneath shifter console, looks factory! now for the on/off switch. drilled two 20mm holes in lid handbrake cover (the small 1x5 under handbrake-just give it a yank) then mounted switches. waf (wife acceptance factor) high- she can't see wires, and what she does see, looks factory...

Who made the heated seat kit you installed? Heat both seat bottom and lower back? Do you have photos? Any issue with engine cutoff, noted earlier?

no issues what so ever. there was two sections
for back and bottom- you trim for correct
fit- didn't take pics- but online search has many options for purchase. mine came from Clazzio.com- comes as complete kit (harness etc..). have used now for last couple a weeks with no issues whatsoever -- luv' em

harley888 - I can see this getting a high "waf" just for the heat, let alone the tidiness of your installation work, LOL!

Did you use fuse 40 for both, or did you just heat the driver's seat?

This may be a bit of a noob question, but how did you attach to the fuse box (sorry - I haven't looked - is there a terminal, or do you have to rig up a connection)?

Did you glue the ceramic elements to the OEM upholstery, and then put Clazzio's over them, or did you go under the stock seat fabric (or some other option, perhaps)?

Also, how are you finding them a week later? Any problems or other advice? What are they like to sit on (comfortable, or do you start to notice the element under your butt)? Reason for this question is that someone else (holeydonut?) mentioned somewhere that they made the seam ridge of the Clazzio's feel more pronounced, and that started to be irritating.

This is one mod I'd really like to try. I think would please my wife and the pain in my back (note that these are two different entities!) ;)

the heat pads are held in place from pressure of seat covers- they do come with double sided tape- but the seat covers are so tight ah fit to put on- I choose to install seat
cover then slide heat pads in- no problem- fit and feel is great for me, I've put 3000 miles on 'em so far and would do again.
as far as using fuse box- there's a "add a fuse" thingy at local parts store- plugs right in- I just used#40 and piggy backed two add a fuse thingys.

I'm looking to do this one soon, anyone know where you might be able to snag the OEM switches/panel?

The heated seat switches may become available here since the heated seats are coming over with the '16 models. My Price is Right guess is $280 from Honda.

Otherwise, see if any of our British members can scare one up from a breakers.

I purchased the trim piece and both switches from Japan Parts for about $100 shipped earlier this year.

Here are the part numbers:
77270-SZT-G12ZA
35600-TA0-A01ZA
35650-TA0-A01ZA

The switches are the exact same ones found on the 8th Generation Accord, so you can save yourself money by buying these stateside. The trim piece you'll need to get from overseas, or wait for 2016 parts to come in stock at US dealers.

......who knows if the new trim piece would actually fit the old console.
From the images I've seen, the switches for the seats look like the ones from the '11 model year. I don't think there's been any "update" to the pieces.

A hundred for the setup isn't too bad. I mean, still, that much for twenty bucks worth of parts, but for a company that wants $300 for an armrest that's not as good as the Zeta, a hundred's not too bad.

Temperature was 2 degrees C this morning, had my heated seats on - fitted as standard here in the UK!

GT had the glass roof, xenons, heated leather and sub woofer in the boot as standard.
