So the CD player has siddenly decided not to eject.... if it takes the CD to begin with. Bad Disc / Check O/M message.
O/M has nothing I can see and tried CD cleaners and still poo.

Anyone have a good functioning unit for sale?

Have you looked at https://www.redlineautoparts.com/honda-cr-z/
Or just get a nice aftermarket if you have to have a CD. I have never used my CD in The Speed Bump. There are lots of members here who have removed their ICE units so should be plenty gathering dust on shelves. Just make sure to get the code from the seller. You may have to have a dealer or specialty shop reprogram the radio or car in order to have them match due to the security.

Does a Paper Clip work in the hole to force a manual ejection?

There used to be shops that could repair Car radios but I am not sure if such specialty shops exist anymore.

thanks Bump. Yup, checked with Redline already as they took care of me on the front calipers. Nothing there at the moment.
Posted here to try and help a member if had one sitting around. Prefer to keep the stock look actually. Old school and have tons of CD's. Tried my ipod shuffle this morning and got message like "incompatible version" on the display.
Yes, bent a paperclip and got the CD out. Had to do the same with the cleaner CD also.

My iPod Nano Video works with my CR-Z. I did have to do a factory reset to it a few times over the years and reinstall the latest (last)updates on it.

Hmmn Redline seemed to have a non navigation and navigation Radio available. I am just not sure if it would be compatible with your specific one. Any electronics repair places near you? Since it is not a CD drive for a computer should be pretty easy to replace the drive if needed or maybe just the button etc that does the eject?

Off topic and you will laugh but I have a Sony D9 Disc man and a car mount for it that plugs into an Aux jack ( or you could buy a cassette adapter for it ) and powers it up. It mounts under one of the seat bolts and has a flexible arm and mount plate. I used it in one of my previous cars that had a cassette and Aux jack. You may find one on Ebay etc with all the parts. Crazy but ...

Didn't see last night when looked at RL site. Will check again on break. Eject button works and unit tries to spit out the CD, but just spins. Also now just takes a CD about 2/3 way in and stops.

Generally what happens is the axle that spins to eject the cd has a rubber sleeve over it. This rubber sleeve becomes unattached to the axle and allows the axle to spin inside the rubber.

There are videos on youtube on how to fix this situation.

Thanks, but from my understanding, the unit from a base model isn't compatible due to the rear sub and built in amp on the EX.
