That's pretty ballsy considering E85 requires way more fuel to run properly. But it's also not ideal for low powered NA cars since there's such a small power gain that you can't really feel it, which is why I'm quite puzzled as to why you did it.
Why is it ballsy at all? I have a Flashpro so I've tuned the car. It has the perfect amount of fuel.

E85 is ideal for every car. It makes more HP than premium gas but costs the same as regular gas per mile. E85 is cleaner with 40% less greenhouse gas emissions and smells better.

You absolutely can feel it. It's the same difference as running regular gas and then switching to premium.

Your car is supercharged is it not? So you probably run premium gas as a necessity. If you used E85 instead of premium you would gain HP and save money.

Anyway I already said this stuff in my thread several times.

Do you think Spoon Sports added something else in their high cam ECU tune besides adjusting the RPM limit? Obviously they don't get the charge error you are getting. If you have the money, Spoon Sports USA sells the high camshaft kit with the pre-set high cam ECU made to work with it. I wonder if you could use the Hondata flashpro to see what the differences are if you were to get your hands on one. Spoon High Camshaft & ECU Kit - CR-Z ZF1

I did some testing and made a thread about the high-RPM errors here: Revving the CR-Z over 7000 RPM without errors

Firstly, the problem isn't in the ECU, at least the ICE side. The problem is on the IMA side. It's not a problem, just safeguards functioning as they are designed. My guess is that the Spoon and Honda factory racecars if they use the IMA system use a modified IMA battery. The solution at this point would probably to do what Peter Perkins did and build a 180 volt upgraded battery and do the other mods to the IMA system, that way the increased voltage from high-RPM won't be a problem.

Will you post a video showing the battery upgrade to see if the test result works?

I installed the Fit GE8 camshaft today. Wow! The engine runs like it should now. It pulls better at all RPMs and especially the top end. It pulls hard to 7000+ RPM now instead of petering out around 6700. It has better low-end too especially while cruising on the highway in 6th you don't need to downshift to get up every single hill. I haven't really done any tuning yet except to change the VTEC window (3500-5400) so I need to get the fuel dialed in. It's leaning out up high. Hands down best mod for the CR-Z!!! If you are doing the GE8 manifold or need to adjust your valves this is only a little bit more work.

I used this video to figure out how to get it done and it really helped. I used the zip-tie method to keep the timing chain in place and it worked out perfect:

how does it run without changing the Vtec curve? THe reason i ask, here in CA it's illegal to tune, and curious if I go this route will it idle well enough to pass smog when switching back to stock?

It's on the dyno now. Any guesses to the power it will make? Will be measured at the wheels, SAE corrected.

Mods are:
GE8 manifold
GE8 rocker assembly w/titanium nuts
Cat Cams camshaft #2503201
E70 fuel
Supercircuit downpipe and midpipe
AEM catback exhaust

My guess is 125whp
Hello , you still sell the kit i would like to buy it from you?

I have to give a shoutout to RZCrewGarage.com for their awesome support. I have bought a bunch of parts from them from my exhaust bits to Spoon mirrors and Blitz suspension.

I ordered the Blitz DSC coilovers which are electronically adjustable and have automatic modes etc. I bought these during RZCrew's Black Friday sale. There was a mistake during the drop-shipping and I received a normal kit without the DSC. I contacted RZCrew and they got it sorted out and shipped out the missing bits right away.

Check em out they have tons of stuff for the CR-Z. The Singapore dollar conversion rate is pretty favorable at the moment as well so make sure to convert the prices.

It was an easy mistake as the kits are 93430 and 92430, very easy to confuse but luckily they took care of me! Can't wait to get these installed.

I know this is a late reply but rzcrew do you just order from them online or call them since it’s over seas

I'm still rockin' the OEM 16" wheels because they're lighter than most of the aftermarket bling wheels. :) Of course, if you want lighter(est) wheels, don't go up a size to 17", but see if they make the same style in 16" .... :)
Sorry to necro, but this is so true lol. The only reasonable wheels I could find for this thing that didn't add a ton of weight were Hypergrams and RPF-1s. Why did Honda have to do so good in engineering the stock wheels for this thing??
