I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I have a 2013 in pearl white and I'm loving it but I was serious about learning stick so I opted for the manual transmission. I have been practicing around town, in my neighborhood, and on my sloped driveway the last 4 evenings but my fiancé says I'm not ready for prime time and I agree. I have driven the car once to work and back with almost no traffic but usually I will be in traffic for at least 30 min. Any help and advice on this? The freeway is all uphill so I'm good if I keep my distance and keep moving but it always comes to a complete stop several times. I'm just worried about how close people get behind me and I'm wondering if anyone else went through this when they first learned? I really need to get going on learning manual cuz my alternative is to drive my fiancé's full size Chevy which is too much $$$ in gas.
