Removing the stock exhaust? 3 nuts holding the midpipe to the cat, 3 rubber mounts holding the midpipe to the car. Two bolts+nuts holding the rear muffler to the midpipe and another 2 rubber mouts holding it to the car.

Having air-tools and a lift available reduces the risk of serious injury, death or worse ;)

For anyone doing this I found the below link helpful.

Refer to page 3 of 6 for rear bumper removal:

KennyX - I find it works best to put a small flat-head screwdriver through the hole then pry the metal hangers out. To install them find some lubricant and they slide in easier.

Off topic: Very good license plate. Did you realize that it can be interpreted as "I am a hybrid" as well as "Integrated Motor Assist Hybrid", or was that just a clever side-effect?

I have no sound clips--pipes NEED to stick out so as not to melt the <plastic> diffuser. Cost: $1,385.00 <pricey but sweet AND 1/2 the cost of a Noblesse>. I've only got 100+ miles on mine--too much rain lately--but hope to drive it more the next few days! Sounds goooooood! Two questions for the two guys that have this exhaust

1. Can that inner sleeve on the two exhaust tips be somehow removed? It would look better to me that way.
2. By the pictures i can see, it seems like the tips can be shorted to sit flush with the bumper, I'm just trying to figure out the best way...

Definitely getting to a point where i'm about to crack and buy it

1. I'll take a look in the morning and see if you can remove it in anyway.
2. If you were to do that the 90 degree bend would most likely sit on the rear bumper support, which would most likely rattle, scrape and cause heat transfer through the rear wall.

Just got this exhaust in today. A few points I wanted to make since I didn't see anyone really talk about it.

-The exhaust is well packaged and arrived un-damaged.
- It is really nice quality, every thing looks great.

Now I have one bad thing I want to address. Where the exhaust connects to the downpipe there is a HUGE bottleneck in it. The whole exhaust is 2.25 ID and the flange at the down pipe is 1.75 ID. I guess it has to be that size to connect to the OEM downpipe, but for me that is not the case. Luckily, that is a simple fix. Also when looking inside the pipe that goes into the muffler, you can see that it is also choked down a little as well.

Other than that, cant wait to install this.

Carzee,

To answer your question, from Duffy:

"...is there to keep direct exhaust heat off of the carbon fiber inlayed outer sleeve. If he were to cut the inner sleeve, I would leave it long towards the top area where the C/F logo is and then paint that segment with high heat BBQ paint flat black, so it would hide it reasonably well. "

I had no problems matching the two up and it didn't seem to modify the angle at all.

REMUS Center Exit Exh. "Test Case" wanted

REMUS CENTER EXIT SPORT EXHAUST ~ CR-Z Enthusiasts: Duffy Collin, here, at REMUS USA. As I stated in another thread, we are working to get a correct fit for the U.S. models CR-Z, on our popular Center Exit sport exhaust. U.S. safety standards have made Honda change the splash guard design, thus causing a subsequent design change. ~ We have finally received our U.S. version "test" silencer, and would like a local Bay Area (CA) installation so that we can confirm fitment and/or identify any remaining differences. If you're interested in being a "test case" we will make it worth your while. Please PM me if so, and we can discuss the possibilities. Thanks!
