Considering the side exit one. If you don't mind, I'd like a DIY for removing the stock one!

 

Removing the stock exhaust? 3 nuts holding the midpipe to the cat, 3 rubber mounts holding the midpipe to the car. Two bolts+nuts holding the rear muffler to the midpipe and another 2 rubber mouts holding it to the car.

Having air-tools and a lift available reduces the risk of serious injury, death or worse

KennyX - I find it works best to put a small flat-head screwdriver through the hole then pry the metal hangers out. To install them find some lubricant and they slide in easier.

Here's mine from another thread--with a couple of angle shots! Not trying to hijack psu2k5--looks great on the blue too.

 

I have no sound clips--pipes NEED to stick out so as not to melt the <plastic> diffuser. Cost: $1,385.00 <pricey but sweet AND 1/2 the cost of a Noblesse>. :thumbup: I've only got 100+ miles on mine--too much rain lately--but hope to drive it more the next few days! Sounds goooooood! [Not Loud--Just Gooood] :hail:

 

This is very very interesting to me. I know what my next performance mod will be. Thank you for the shots of it. Red is a gorgeous color for this car, and was my second choice after silver.

Two questions for the two guys that have this exhaust

1. Can that inner sleeve on the two exhaust tips be somehow removed? It would look better to me that way.
2. By the pictures i can see, it seems like the tips can be shorted to sit flush with the bumper, I'm just trying to figure out the best way...

Definitely getting to a point where i'm about to crack and buy it

 

1. I'll take a look in the morning and see if you can remove it in anyway.
2. If you were to do that the 90 degree bend would most likely sit on the rear bumper support, which would most likely rattle, scrape and cause heat transfer through the rear wall.

 

Cool, cause im not going to cut off a part of the tip to make it flush, its going to have to be modified behind those tips

 

Where do you mount the hanger for the center exhaust piece? I am installing this today and the pictures on the instructions doesn't make it clear. Thanks

 

Although I don't know the Remus setup, you could try this thread for some ideas:

Beware - the USDM version is different under the rear bumper from the JDM one. I don't know which one the Euro model, on which the Remus was probably designed, resembles. But it might give you an idea or two.

This exhaust looks really good. I don't usually like center exhausts, but surprisingly it works well with the CRZ.

 

Just got this exhaust in today. A few points I wanted to make since I didn't see anyone really talk about it.

-The exhaust is well packaged and arrived un-damaged.
- It is really nice quality, every thing looks great.

Now I have one bad thing I want to address. Where the exhaust connects to the downpipe there is a HUGE bottleneck in it. The whole exhaust is 2.25 ID and the flange at the down pipe is 1.75 ID. I guess it has to be that size to connect to the OEM downpipe, but for me that is not the case. Luckily, that is a simple fix. Also when looking inside the pipe that goes into the muffler, you can see that it is also choked down a little as well.

Other than that, cant wait to install this.

 

Firstly hate to revive and old thread (sorry) but im uk based and remus uk are 30 min drive from my house, im seriously thinking about this exhaust but the 1.75 bit u mentioned, u say its a simple fix, just what exactly did u/ do u do to fix it, i have a tegiwa uk 2nd cat delete pipe 50mm diameter or 2" and if like it to be 50mm all the way to the exit tip?

I really like this exhaust. Cheaper than noblesse and it sounds nicer.

 

Is there a sound clip anywhere? This has got to be my next mod once I start my new job on Monday.

Thanks for the info, I've looked at it and realisEd there's no real easy way of removing that inner sleeve. Also I noticed your running the basis downpipe, I am as well. How was the fitment of the exhaust with that downpipe?

 

I had no problems matching the two up and it didn't seem to modify the angle at all.
