YES, I recently purchased a JDM OBD II Performance Chip and installed it in my 2011 CRZ EX Navi 6MT. It plugs into the OBD II port located under the driver side dash just above the accelerator pedal.
It may be a placebo effect, but I sense about 5+ HP increase driving in NORMAL mode, but more significantly, a noticeable improvement in TORQUE, from 1,500 RPM to 6,000 RPM. It idles at 750. IMA works fine - hill hold works fine. On my way back from a local golf course this afternoon, driving on a little used 4 lane divided highway I did a sprint to 95 MPH with no sweat. The car wanted to keep on PULLING.
Switching to SPORT it is perfect. Freeway traffic yesterday morning was a breeze as there was adequate torque to manuver in 6th gear at 70 - 75 MPH.
I have removed the muffler at the rear using only the catalytic converter and resonator for noise abatement, yes, it is a little loud in the cabin but sounds and performs sweet.
The chip is removable - simply unplug it. Excess cable and the chip fit behind the center console. When plugged in there is a gentle blue hue emitted by the chip, which gently lights the floor board on both sides.
