I brought home my CRZ yesterday afternoon. No problems to speak of. 30 minutes ago the car seemed to have a little trouble climbing a shallow hill. Then pulling up to a stop light, the check engine light on the left display began to blink and the gas motor didn't die as it should at complete stops. Pulling from the stop light, the engine was running rough and there was very little power. The transmission wouldn't shift. Pulled into a parking lot and did some experiments. Looks like there is a glitch that is affecting multiple systems. Here are my stats and what I am seeing on my display:
2011 CRZ EX with navigation. Automatic trans. 135 miles (had 25 when I bought it).
On the dash: left display- will not allow me to change modes and will not display a current mode. VSA OFF light is illuminated, and I cannot turn VSA on with the button. During a drive around the parking lot, the battery meter depleted completely, then replenished to full capacity when I parked.
Right display- orange "i" illuminated. Info display is cycling through two messages- "check emission system" with an engine icon, and "check VSA system" with icon.
Idle is very rough with skips. Tachometer confirms this as it varies about ~150 rpm.
Paddle shifting seems quirky. Seems like there is a delay. This could be my perception as there is very little power produced by the engine.
Any ideas what could be the cause of a problem that affects multiple systems? I'm still waiting to hear back from the dealership. It's over an hour away, so immediate assistance from them is nil.
