I am going to be replacing my trans with a new one I have just rebuilt, and in the process would like to replace the ball joint boots since it may be a good idea.
In the FSM it says to use a 37.8mm 'tie-rod boots driver' tool that they sell. However, good luck finding that unicorn!
I bought a 1 1/2" socket instead, and I'm hoping I can use this.
Has anyone done this before? is it required?
Any tips while doing this job??
