Sorry for the delay in replying. I did do the mod. I also blacked out the silver sections on my center console and everything together looks amazing in my opinion.

Here is how mine looked with the black side sections too

Sorry, I don't have the EX with the steering wheel cover, but I believe it's a match
Very nice shot! I like the bokeh!=)

IMO the blue stitched leather Fit shiftknob should be on ALL CVT CR-Z's and if you've got the black/red Clazzio's, well, the Mugen one in perforated leather w/ red stitching should be your choice too. This is such as easy mod to do and really adds to the look and feel of your car, I loved the one I had in my 5AT Fit sport!

Well done - definitely something all your own. I see you've done something to the OEM seat fabric, too, it seems. More pix???

As for commercially available red ones, there is this:

Not sure it will fit, though.

We talked about this one in the spring:

(couple pages back, in this same thread).

You can thank me with pictures, if you do this! ;)

Is the mechanism of the button for the CVT just pushing down the creme angled thingy. Is it possible to replace the CVT knob and boot with the manual one and make it so that the whole knob pushes down to activate the button.

Yes the release is a matter of pushing down the white plunger...I made my own shift boot and custom knob....just push down and shift into desired gear position.....I added additional spring to mine to ensure that the weight of the knob doesn't allow the plunger to be pushed down and thus allowing the shifter to move accidentally..
