I bought the J's Racing header, can confirm it deletes both cats and it is very loud on my supercharged CR-Z. Yes it is a bit pricey compared to some but it supports real Japanese companies. The HKS high flow cat is very expensive (MSRP is like $1740) and has quite a long wait time since it is made to order. I'd only recommend it if flow was an issue and you still needed to keep a cat for emissions.

If you want to order parts from Japan shoot me a PM and I can get you to a guy who might be able to beat that price.

Will you use a Hondata or Ktuner to delete the P0420 when you delete the primary cat?

I had the Js racing on Romiata’s old crz. It does delete both

Thanks for the heads up, my intake and spoon axleback make for a nice sound, deleting both cats would be past my limit.

For some reason their specs say not for CVT. Wondering if it's unable to fit at all or if they just don't recommend it due to the wailing nature of the transmission?

No it does not this is what the tegiwa looks like. The header and tegiwa pipe are 2 separate pieces.

I don't see why that would matter but part numbers and compatibility can be wonky sometimes. Check a Honda parts website for part numbers between the CVT and 6MT models. If the exhaust and cat part numbers are the same between both then it should work so try not to overthink it.

I personally would not want a much louder exhaust on a CVT equipped car due to the sluggish sound but I'm not telling you not to get it if you want it.

I personally would not want a much louder exhaust on a CVT equipped car due to the sluggish sound but I'm not telling you not to get it if you want it.

“Sluggish sound”? I admit it is weird to hear the exhaust note go up and up and up without break (shifting gears), but other than that I love having a second cat delete and cat backs! When I had the Js header still on Romiata’s old crz, a friend said he once saw a small flame lmao

Yeah, CVTs tend to drone and their "shifts" between the non-existent gears doesn't sound the same as either a conventional torque converted automatic or manual. Personal preference. 🤷

I will probably install it sometime next week once I do some research on how to disable the check engine light due to the cat being gone (with my schrodinger's k-tuner 😹)
