Dear All,

After seeing all the modifications and improvements on the car,
I am getting exited to do something for my car.

I have some dumb questions.

1. What do we do for the existing stocks?
Keep in garage or trade in or ???
e.g. rims, tires, front/rear bumpers.

2. Will the modification need DMV approval?
interior vs. exterior

DMV approval is not required for cosmetic mods although in some states there are laws. You will need to look this up but for instance there is a minimum ground clearance, legal limits for tint, restrictions on after market exterior lighting and so on. If you follow these rules you wont need any kind of approval.

If i were you, id keep the stock parts. If you ever want to sell or trade in the car you will be much better off going back to stock and then selling all aftermarket parts. Also, they come in handy. Stock wheels make good winter wheels, stock parts can replace aftermarket parts that go bad etc...

EDIT: if you live in a state with inspections, make sure you know what you need to pass.
