Yeah you can get a line out converter and splice into the speaker wires that go on to one of the rear speakers...your RCA cables that go to the amp will get connected to the line out converter....that is the set up that i did..i have a 1200w polk audio amp with a 2 farad capacitor....running 2 10" Pioneer Premier Subs, rated at 800W rms and 2500W peak.

No i have had this system in my car for about a month and have not had any problems with the battery.
