What DON'T you like about the CRZ?

OK, we all know what we love about this versatile sports car/fuel sipper. But no car is perfect, so what features DON'T you like about the CRZ. I'll start. I think everyone hates the big blind spot. Backing up in this vehicle is a challenge! I';m afraid it's only a matter of time until I back into something. Other than that, I woud have liked to have a temperature gage. I want to know when the engine starts to run abnormally warm, not when it is full blown overheated. Next, I would have engineered the idle-stop feature to give more control back to the driver. If I'm just coming up on a stop sign, for instance, there should be a way to avoid the shutdown if no delay is anticipated. Also, it would be nice to have a way to make the care go into idle stop if the situation dictates but the performance parameters are not met. Finally, an arm rest seems like it should be standard equipment. So that's about all I can think of on the negative side, which pretty means that this is one incredible and fun car.

back up camera would have been nice to deal with the blind spot backing up ...
xm should be included with EX, not an add-on accessory (mine is not yet installed)
the horn is pretty wimpy sounding
Dont likes

I like the design...Imp an Industrial Designer and it’s rare that we get to fully design the exterior of a car and I can definitely tell this is a designer’s car and not an engineering nightmare. Sometimes design triumphs over function. I don’t notice a blind spot; make sure your mirrors are set properly.

I agree with everything you said but I would want a little more power and independent rear suspension.

leather seats in the US
I've been mulling this over for a while now...and I just can't think of anything I don't like. Sure there are extras that would be nice, the heated leather seats, glass roof, etc....but not having those is not really a DON'T like for me.

Ok, I'll bite. Here's my list:

- locking gas door, wth man!
- sunroof option
- leather seats
- backup camera
- LED strip below headlights like JDM gets
- don't like the taillights that much, reminds me of the ugly clear tail fad a while back
- rear 2 compartment things should have vertical sides, not inclined. Individual locking hatches would have been preferred
I would have to say the blind spot. But at least it comes with sensors on the back for when you need to back up.
Have a fresh new Silver CVT EX w) navi, bought the evening of Sept. 21st. My observations of the negative type so far:
  • wish a middle armrest was standard - my old 2002 Protege5 had one with plentiful storage in the middle, and I find I still habitually go to lean my arm in the middle getting in the car or while driving!
  • blind spots and funky split view to the immediate rear - like that the side view mirrors have a wide scope of view, buy the big blind spots to the left and right rear are gonna take some getting used to, including when I am backing into my assigned narrow garage space at work!
  • no roof rack - had recently put a Thule kayak carrier on my old Protege5's roof rack system, but now have no kayak carrying capability with my new CR-Z or wifey's Civic Coupe!
  • silly, generally useless rear side windows
  • inability to actually do iPod controls via the voice controls/system
  • non-adjustable headrests
  • non-lockable fuel door

ditto on the sunroof. I loved it on my prelude. Especially driving at night!
  • no roof rack - had recently put a Thule kayak carrier on my old Protege5's roof rack system, but now have no kayak carrying capability with my new CR-Z or wifey's Civic Coupe!
It does have a roof rack. I got it for mine. It can hold 4 pairs of skis or 2 snowboards. Not sure about the kayak though.
- a louder sound for the rear sensors (or at least the possibility to raise the sound level)
- central armrest
- a battery which would last longer (when you drive in the mountains, it is empty after three or four turns only )

i would like an adjustable lumbar support in the seat.
as for the blind spot (which is huge.... entire SUVs can hide in there...) - i am learning to use my mirrors better... but I saw a Lincoln that had these cool "blind spot indicators" built into the mirrors...when a car was in the Lincolns blind spot the mirrors had a little orange dot that light up.... that would be an amazing feature to help with the blind spot issue IMO :)
My issues......

thinking......

thinking......

no arm rest

have an old ipod i cant use "Unsuported device"

no independent rear suspension

no dark floor mats

vents are set up wierd

rear window defrost doesnt get the top of the window and wiper too small

too much body roll

i think thats it

I would say heated leather, an actual moonroof, and better iPod integration (podcast support, bluetooth audio)
Not having the CRZ in my driveway yet (tomorrow), the things I don't like about it are:

I don't like the three things on the front grill.
I wish it had the arm rest standard (bought the armrest from College Hills Honda, which arrived yesterday).
Independent rear suspension like the 1991 CRX.
Leather seat option (I don't think we can even get leathers put on the stocks because of all the sensors and airbags).
Rear wheel drive would be nice. It would even out the weight distribution alittle more.
The hands free operation should allow for verbal commands for IPODs.
Hands free ability to make calls from the transferred cell phonebook.
Hands free voice recognition for the main phonebook sucks.
A 180 degree rear view camera that can be used while driving to assist with the blind spots would be a great help.
Build in the brackets for the splash guards for the rear wheels so the rear bumper does not have to be removed to install the guards.
Yes, arm rest standard or bracket pre-install to make installation easer.
Add a switch on the passenger door that will lock both doors.
More power to pull hills at freeway speeds.
Ok, here is my view after having my CRZ-GT NAVI for 2 months

When its wet outside and you have the window cracked a little, you get very wet
Rear visibility is poor, would love the camera not an option in UK ( when I got mine)
Economy not as good as documented, only getting 42 mgp mainly motorway driving
