What did you do to the 'Z today?

So other car forums I've been on have had a thread where you can go and post up a brief description and a couple of pics of something you did to your car today. Since we don't have one on here(neither Google or I were able to find one) I decided to try and start one.

Ran power and ground wires for my amp tonight. Power was a pain to get through the firewall, but I ended up using the OEM grommet behind the fan on the passenger side footwell. Tucked all the wire away and at first glance you probably wouldn't even notice it which is just the way I like it.

My flat fix is on its last legs (reinflating every 3 days) so I got 2 new tyres. Would've gone all 4 but the budget is tight as usual.

It was really tough to find oem sized rubber (195/55r16) that was in stock, met my standards, and fell within the budget. So I'm rolling the dice on a set of general G-Max all seasons @ 205/50r16.

I'll let y'all know what I think once I've broken em in and gotten a good feel for them.

This being said; anybody else notice a lot of the 195/55r16 tyres being discontinued without a replacement or was I just looking in the wrong places?
No, they are getting harder to find.

I was looking recently all around and seems like those O.E spec are getting hard to find and way expensive too and i was on the hunt for summer tyres. I really wanted to buy mines on Tyre Rack but a little to high so i went to Walmart App... :). Being doing my research and ended up buying 4 Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance for 94$ each. I got my Crz about 7 weeks ago and already one nail no leak lol. I'm replacing Old Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 Plus
Installed underglow (with a "kill switch") today. It was a process but not at all difficult.

I think I may adjust the positioning of the rear and sides at some point but it looks good on the road.
Hoping to get some pictures of the car to capture some of the recent work before going on vacation.

Gave it a good handwash today. Carpro Reset followed by 303 graphene Nano Spray coating. Moat of the panels are in rough shape, the car needs a good 2 stage polish. I found out the hard way trying to get that 303 buffed off. Should provide a little protection until I can take it to a professional and have them give it proper loved. Got the Fiesta all cleaned up as well.

Test fit another set of wheels with snow tires for next weekends trip. Worked like a charm, but the TPMS is going to be beeping at me all weekend.

Finally got to installing the progress tech rear sway bar today and freeing up the last stuck coilover! She's loooowww. Everything took like two hours max, I wasn't counting. Noticeable effect, especially on sharp turns. Worth it!

Did you have to trim the plastic pieces at all attached the rear beam?

Yes, I did end up trimming the plastic piece on both sides - the part I was cutting off did not look vital or functional in any way so I wasn't too concerned over it. Worst-case scenario I'll buy a new one somehow 🤷‍♂️

Big stuff is in work. I’m planning the next phase of restoring my car as things wear out and enough cash lands in my account. I’ve decided to have it wrapped rather than ordering paint to respray it.
The wrap is candy light gray and metallic purple. It is in the same color palette as my 2013 Passion Berry Pearl. To keep cost down, I am not having the door jambs wrapped, so the transition has to look good.
This pic angle makes the color look like cotton candy but it’s more of a gray/white from most angles.

Wrap will be the easy part for my guy doing the wrap. The devil is in the details (of the prep).
My Grand Plan
-Buy new door handles since those have to come off for wrapping and the driver. Will order from dealer.
-Fix up my ugly cowl and the 3 wiper arms. Spray with a restorer paint from local detailing supply. Hope it works on pillar covers and side view mirror arms. They are shot to shit.
-Try paintless dent removal on rear left lower fender area, parking lot malarkey from a few years ago (I still despise whoever sinned against my cute car).
-Use Meguiar’s black trim restorer, bought this weekend at the Electrified Expo where hybrids and electric car geeks have a blast. The enormous Meguiar’s truck brought a ton of fresh product and pro advice. I’ll need three treatments to get it to last a good long while.
-I’ve got GTechnic window goop to help wick rain off the windows. I’ll do that soon.
-If you read this far, cool, thanks and feel free to suggest any other prep. The wrap will probably happen in July. Wrap guy will keep the car for a week. He did the tint on my new Integra and does nice work.
