I received my black weathertech floor liners for my red CR-Z. They seem to have a design flaw in that they do not utilize the OEM floor liner locks nor do the supply their own.

This in my opinion is a glaring error in two respects.

1. This is very unsafe because they slide around with foot pressure.

2. Because they move they distort and become misshapen.

Their own instal instructions tell you to use the OEM locks when installing the liners. They just didnt design them to utilize them. Unpleasant oversight.

I have attempted to contact weathertech to address these issue but have not received any response.

Come on weathertech don't let us down by producing such inferior products. I am a former customer and was really looking forward to these liners but as of right now the Honda rubber liners are a far superior product and are presently back in my CR-Z. My WT's on back in the box ready to go back if the don't have a resolution to this issue.

It's my opinion not to purchase weathertechs CRZ floor liners until they resolve this locking/safety issue.

Regards,

BQ

Thanks for the feedback. I had my doubts about these mats ever since seeing how they didn't use the anchor points. Sounds like someone didn't pay attention to design details.

I wonder if one could take the grommets from the OEM mats and transfer them over to the Weathertechs? With lots o' glue...

Now I wish I had ordered the Honda mats as I put in an order for other stuff last week but was going to get the weathertech floor liners instead. But haven't several people posted that the Honda liners don't completely cover the carpet up under the pedals? Guess I'll wait for the weathertech cargo tray (due in 9 weeks according to the lady I talked to there several days ago) to order the front liners and maybe they'll have this resolved.

Two emails and a week later and i've had no responce from weathertech. Doesnt make me happy. Phone call is next but I have a feeling they dont really want to talk about it. I'll post pics of what is happening.

I persaonally WOULD NOT recomend WeatherTech Floor Liners for the 2011 Honda CR-Z as over time they will just get worse and more distorted.

had the weathertech mats in my SI. The fitted pans not just mats though. They are made by laserscanning the interior of the car, so its a PERFECT fit. I don't recall them clipping to anything, but they were a skin tight fit and didn't move.

I have the digifit liners you describe and they do fit well but thay also slide forward with foot preassure.

You would think that they would at least care enough to respond......guess not.
