Hi everybody,

I just wanted to take a second to introduce myself to the Honda CRZ forum and let you know that Tire Rack is excited to be a sponsor here. I look forward to interacting with you all, and will do my best to answer your inquiries. I hope to learn from your experiences as well.

Best Regards,

Welcome to the CRZ forum Chase!

Please tell us more about your experience and background as our tire specialist. What kind of Tire Rack testing have you participated in? What do you drive? What kinds of training have you gotten at Tire Rack?

As a tire specialist, I have access to our on site test track here at Tire Rack where we test both dry and wet traction, cornering stability, stopping power, acceleration. We are
nearly done with the remodel, which will include a section to test hydroplaning.

In addition we have a road ride test on local roads (city roads both smooth and torn up, as well as highway) to test road noise, mpg, comfort, and traction.

We use the same BMW 3 series on these tests which keeps everything but the tires as a constant. Once the results are tallied up, we post the results on our website.

Here is a link: http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=CN7&url=/tires/tests/testSearch.jsp

Please feel free to contact me with any questions and feedback.

@ SpoonCrz, doesn't hurt to ask but unfortunately no promo codes, but we do run frequent promotions. Also, we mount and balance all tire and wheel packages before we ship so they are ready to put on when your receive them!!!!! If you need any help let me know [email protected]

@ Jonny Black, I will relay the message to Rudy

Chase,

Thanks for responding. Im actually kicking myself in the ass for not purchasing a couple weeks back when the price of the RPF1 drop a little. A week later it went up more...

Would you know why? Im looking at the rpf1 17x7 black.

Im amused that you only use one type of car for testing. While it may seem to act as a constant, results would only favor cars with the same drivetrain, weight distribution, suspension. Obviously you can't test every car there is out there, but I would have expected a different car for each category.

@ SpoonCrz, unfortunately like most things wheels and tire prices are subject to change. So when our suppliers hit us with increased prices we all suffer

@ forumonlooker, thanks for the input and a valid point you make! We use four of the same vehicle so we can test one right after the next after the next without contstantly changing tires (which makes sense). Good point about using different vehicles for different tire types.

hey Chase, just FYI,

I bought some Sparco rims for my CRZ last month and after installing i noticed a shake in my steering wheel so one or more of the wheels hasn't been properly balanced. i still haven't had a chance to go get it fixed at a local shop tough. so damn busy lately :\

just thought i'd let you know. other than that i really love you guys for delivery and service  all up front charges from UPS so i don't get raped with unexpected fees when crossing the border

@ Ludercrz , We always give the total price up front so there are no surprise charges with duties and brokerages at the border. Sometimes our Canadian customers ship to a UPS hub on the US side of the border and save a little that way, and then pay the taxes on their way back home.

I just ordered some Bremmer Craft BRO5's for my daughters 2006 Honda Accord with Conti 225/45/17 DWS tires from the Tire Rack. The were mounted and balanced and the price was right. They look great on the car and you guys were helpful with the offset and tire size. Got an alignment and was good to go. My 16 yr old was very happy

That's a great wheel and tire package! The DWS has been hard to keep in stock (not only with us, but nationally) so I am glad to hear you were able to get her a set.
