Suspension Upgrade?

Need some advice. 2011 EX. 115k miles. I’m not seeing any shock leaks. My wife and I were under the 400lb weight limit when we bought it new but now are around 430( yeah we could loose weight…) but I’m curious if there are recommendations for shocks/springs that would support a little more weight.Probably no issues if our roads were in better condition. 😖 Seems like the shocks bottom out more than they used too. Thx for the suggestions!

I've been researching this for a bit (searching through Fit forums for lift kits, different springs, coilovers, etc.) and I haven't found any good options.
Maybe some of the other more experienced members here will know more.

Personally I would spring for 15" wheels and put the biggest sidewall tires you can on them.

Coilovers almost all have higher spring rates. Adjust them to the stock ride height and enjoy those higher rates for extra load carrying capacity.

The Fit runs softer springs than the CR-Z because itbis is lighter. Fit springs in the rear lower the rear nearly an inch.

30 or so pounds beyond the GVWR is probably not a deal killer but add in any luggage or groceries and now you are 130+ over the limit. Brakes, wheels, bushings, and suspension arms are only rated for so much. Not sure how or if insurance would handle being over GVWR in the event of an accident. ....Says the guy with a K swap that insurance for sure probably won't like... YMMV.

it seems that the weight thing is more of a lawyer thing than it is an actual engineering or functional concern. seeing that overseas its rated closer to 709 lbs.

As for road conditions I think I like da coders idea with the 15/16 with a bigger tire
