Steering Wheel Spacer? Hello, does anybody had some expierience with Steering Wheel Spacers and the OEM steeringwheel? As I'm not so tall, I wanted to get the steeringwheel closer to me for a more comfy seating position. Now I found this part but it's for the S2000 model.
Is it the same support on the CR-Z and on the S2000 model?
Is there a 6cm reserve on the OEM wires for all the steeringwheel funktions?
It looks pretty similar to me but maeby you know better.

Just to make sure - you are aware the steering wheel can be adjusted right? There's a handle on the lower end of the steering wheel column that you can pull to free the adjustment mechanism.

THX! I know, but since I've installed my OEM armrest I prefer to have the steeringwheel even more close to me.;-)
Due to the airbag you really don't want it too close. Even if you are wearing the seatbelt the wheel needs to be a minimum distance away from you to avoid injury or worse if it deploys.
Hello NY-Z, THX for your advice. I'm aware of the function of an airbag. In a technical sheet from Germany I saw a notice that min. distance should be 25cm. In my case it will be still 40-45cm with the spacer. I think I'll feel ok with this.

I'd be interested in seeing the results. I see they also have a spacer for the EP3 and FK8 on their site in addition to the S2000. Not sure which one is closest to our spline/hub.

I have these pic's of our OEM steeringwheel and now I hope it fits as the S2000 SW mod I made on my Insight ZE1.

May I ask you where did you buy the armrest? I've been looking for it shipped to EU for a while with no luck...
I'm also interested in your results.
