So today, I was at the gas station filling up and some guy asked me how I liked the new CRX. I said it's actually called a CR-Z. He looked at me like I was stupid.

I actually wish the CR-Z was called the Insight and the 4 door current Insight called something else.

Does anyone else wish that the CR-Z was named something else besides CR-Z. I think the name can also be confused with the CR-V when speaking the name.

agree on when calling in between the CR-Z & CR-V, as when I brought mine for the hitch installation, when i book for the appointment, the guy said CR-V and i correct him as "Z for Zoo", not "V for Victor".

then when i arrived on the day for the installation, the owner of the store called it again CR-V, and i told him the CR-V is a small SUV, and the CR-Z is a small sport hybrid and he said he didn't know or heard about it, i was like wth, u can pull out info about the hitch, and now u told me u didn't know the car?!?!

I actually have had ppl misstake the car for an Audi. Must be the LED DRLs or something :s

But I think in total only 3 or 4 ppl that I've met randomly actually know what it is. 2 of them were actually well above 60. I was impressed untill I saw them drive away in a Civic :p

Same problem here. When I first called to add ours to the insurance, the lady kept saying CRV. When she plugged in the VIN, it then showed CRZ and she finally got it. But when i got my EZtag for the tollways, I went in to the EZtag store, so this was not a phone conversation. I even wrote it out on a piece of paper for the lady, but when first e-statement came, it said CR-V:pat:

Well that would never happen here because American Hoda is too stinking cheap to give us the LED's

John Mendel is just an old moron with zero passion

I had the same thing happen when trying to get a K&N filter at NAPA. He said its a 2011 crv right? and i took my phone out and said does this look like a crv to you. I said z as in zoo. He goes Oh i never heard of that one before. I go into ORielly's and i get oh thats a nice looking car, or i just read about that in an article the other day how do you like the car. I used to think NAPA was a better auto store than Orielly's and i still think their name brand parts are better but seems to me that the Orielly crew is a little more up to date than the NAPA store.

My insurance company actually had to list my car as an Insight when they gave me the offer, as they didn't have it in their system. It is fixed now though. It's been out almost a year now though, and ppl still call it all kinds of different things. A guy at a gas station the other day liked my "new civic". At least he had the manufacturer right...
