This morning I've had a right good rifle through Buyee in search of the LEDs I need for the kit so I can get it posted over to the body shop and start getting the car put together.

I have managed to find a reproduction front LED kit on Mercari which I have linked to here.

Annoyingly @NeeDCrafT21 actually found the genuine Mugen item on Yahoo Auction but I didn't see his post with the link until today! Doh.

I also have my eye on a few other LEDs that I've found and I will keep you updated.

EDIT: On the same day, the Japanese seller has now marked the LEDs as sold out and put up another listing for the same product at just over double the price! 😮

I was planning on blagging this for the build,

but at £555 auction close price excluding shipping to UK and potential duty fees to pay I gave it a miss. I bid up to £450 out of interest.

I honestly cannot bring myself to part with £550+ for a small light when one stone flicked up will crack it and render it worthless.

At least with the aero parts they are substantial parts that justify that kind of money per piece (in my mind anyway).

So I think I will be taking up @SkittyDoogle 's recommendation of KKMaster kit and run reproduction lights in my genuine kit.

You could also just run without the lamp leaving the fog lamp plate open to allow more air through it. I might not even use the kit I ordered from them. If I do I would probably have it wired to the DRL switch along with the aero illumination kit.

I wouldn't really want just a hole there as it'd look unfinished to me.

UK cars have foglamp switches as rear fog-light an MOT test essential here. I will have it wired in to activate alongside the factory fog light.

The rear aero does have the option to of no fog lamp and no hole but it just looks like an odd space of plastic otherwise.

To each their own I suppose. I plan on ordering the ZF1 Mugen diffuser since it looks a bit better IMO. It also has a vent on the back meant to be just for appearance but the plate behind it can be removed so air can flow through it. As for the fog light the plate can be removed and left open too. I plan on doing this for performance.

Mugen stuff is on its way to my bodyshop in Glasgow 😃. At the minute, I'll just be fitting the stuff with no illumination - I can worry about that later down the road. I have those front reproduction LEDs on their way from Japan but I think I will save for the real Mugen rear fog light as for the sake of a few months saving I can have the real thing and it won't bug me when I see it!

Not heard much from the body shop but I’m out in fantastic Italy 🇮🇹 right now.

Decided to make an Instagram for the car so you can follow over there too but I’ll continue to keep everything up to date here too!

Well, I got an e-mail from IA Bodyshop today that the zed was ready. And here it is -

Just some quick photos - car needs a wash and I now need to get a 12x6" plate made up for the front. Thoughts on the no roof spoiler?

Finally got around to fitting my import size front number plate, giving the zed a wash and getting an evening with decent weather to take some photos! Enjoy!

Looks great! I think an OEM spoiler would look great. It’s subtle, but fits very well with the body kit, I think.
Thanks! The Honda spoiler with the Maxton ‘spoiler extension’ is the current plan. I like how the black ‘spoiler extension’ matches the black parts of the mugen

Love how rare it is and how it is now, I do not think it needs anything other than to be driven and loved! Thank you for sharing the pictures!
Thanks man! Kind words. Still plan for the Honda spoiler like I say above but sticking with OEM wheels and subtle interior stuff like OEM mats etc. Never liked the whole JDM racecar look. By the way, why does it say banned next to your username 😮!

It’s funny how things work in life, here’s a photo of an 18 year old me in an S2000 from Honda’s 2008 British Motor Show stand, and on the very same stand was Honda’s recently green-lit for production CR-Z prototype!

It's hard to believe that someone bought my Z in a special order colour and near enough top spec - but didn't order any floor mats for it. So, I nabbed these genuine Honda CR-Z mats. Granted they aren't as cool as the original metal emblemed mats but still cool!

Nice color you got..
Thanks man, still think it makes the car for me! It would be a cool looking thing in another colour but it's just flawless in this shade.

I also love the Berry Pearl and the turquoise blue they did for them too!

worst part is someone here on the forum bought the very last Energetic Yellow mugen wing and repainted it... like maybe a year ago?
I realize this reply is a bit late but that was me. Main reason was because the only wings available were the yellow ones. Even the unpainted wings were sold out. The yellow ones were the last ones and even then the exporter I use told me Mugen only had "a few" remaining, not even the last one, so I snatched it up.

Quick wee update - car was laid up over winter and the 12V battery drained.

Took out the 12V, trickle charged it and re-fitted with one of those twist top battery isolators just to stop the alarm system draining it gradually.

Anyway, the thing was sitting about 3 months plus without being started, everything turned over first time like nothing ever happened. Gotta love a Honda!
