I have a 220 mile commute 2-3 times per week. I start below sea level and climb to 5000 feet.

I am averaging 35-36 mpg. Part of the commute is up a steep 6% grade for 11 miles.

Speed limit is 70 mph.

Is the mpg low or about right?

Can I run the engine at 4300 rpm in 4th gear to maintain 70 mph without tearing anything up?

I have a silver ex with nav, armrest, and xm radio. I about choked a chicken when they installed the xm and I activated it. The armrest isn't exactly cheap, but it does make a difference on long trips like mine.

Thanks for the help and information.
