Hello all. Greetings from southeast Louisiana. I just left the dealership with a 2015 Northshore Blue EX. Really surprised how sporty it feels. I had a few CRXs back in the F&F/HIN days and it feels like a grown up version. I sat in one at Sema when they first came out and always wanted one. It's honestly more fun to drive than my miata.
And to think some people buy Corvettes for their midlife crisis. This is a lot cheaper and probably just as much fun, plus a lot less common so you won't see yourself coming and going.
You got the right color too.
MT or CVT?
My previous car was a MX-5 (Miata) and it was more fun to drive than my CR-Z. Everything in that car was focussed on fun. However, each person has their own view on fun in a car, and that’s good!
I'm sure if I was in a better location I would enjoy the Miata more, but the manual becomes a chore. No cruise control, Louisiana weather, and bad roads detract from the fun.

Maybe I'm nuts but all my cars are manual, it's been ages since I owned anything with an auto. I drive in heavy traffic all the time, doesn't bother me.

I had my MX-5 when I was in university and I didn’t need a car. So it was just for fun rides in the evening/weekend. Driving it on a daily basis isn’t the best indeed.
I will add that of all the manual cars I've had this one is probably the easiest to drive, especially in traffic. Auto-stop with an MT was strange at first but now I'm completely used to it.
I guess I'm a little nuts then as well. A manual transmission has always added to the fun and enjoyment of driving for me. But welcome to the CR-Z world!
I've driven honda, toyota, Ford, and Mazda manuals. It's just nice to push the gas and go. I'd be lying if I said I didn't use the bump shift in the Taco or paddles in the Z.
