I've been thinking of swapping out all my bulbs to led's. Part for the cool factor, and equally as much for the potential fuel savings.
BUT... the load resistors have me concerned.
at 4v 3ohm is burning 5.3 watts. On top of the 14 or so watts of the LED fixture.. So that's ~ 20 watts per side. I thought the stock incandescents were about the same.

If it's running at 12v that jumps way up to 48watts across the resistor! so close to 70 watts burning per side.

So I guess w/out reflashing the comptuer to ignore the lack of load (so we could run w/out load resistor)there's no economy gain from switching to led's..
Have others come to the same conclusion?
