any change in driving style shatner? that alone would convince me to buy this, but my experience has always been that a CAI or filter change has NEVER increased MPG. in fact, by providing more/colder/denser air, the ECU will increase fuel and MPG will suffer. please enlighten me.
If you dont change your driving style anything that allows the car to more freely take in (intake, big bore tb, intake mani) or expel (hi-flow cat, test pipe, exhaust, header) air /exhaust gas would help MPG. Those parts "add power" by making the car more efficient. If you add these parts and also go beat on the car afterward you have the potential to get worse mileage also though. In general if you added an intake and set your cruise control on the same stretch of road, you should do a few MPG better than if you were stock all other conditions being equal
when my last car was fully bolted on i got close to 35 more miles per tank driving with more WOT runs.
