What an experience you went through! You're lucky that you just happened to have a receipt in Dropbox.
If it was up to me, in my tires or in the door/side panels.so where was the drugs? :rotfl::rotfl:
I know someone who got caught with drugs in the panels of their jeep too! He said he was set up or something. He's out now. I don't think panels are a very good hiding spot anymore. Not that I have anything to hide...(True story) A friend of mine showed me about 60lbs of opium bricks under the panels in his jeep. He's been in jail for 3 years now on unrelated charges. I sometimes wonder what happened to that jeep!
Nope... I can guarantee that it aint bull****. The officer actually had me take off my jacket, empty my pockets in front of him, lift my shirt, lift my pant leg to see the tops of my socks and had me pull out my pockets to show it was really empty. He also wanted my phone unlocked and to let him know my unlock code. Apparently they are allowed to ask you do this and you are required by law to assist and let them know this info. If you don't comply, I am sure you will be in more trouble. That's bull****. The phone unlocking thing especially. Are you sure that you're required by law to do that? I'd check.
If you refuse they can't charge you with anything. However, they can keep your phone until they find out what's on it which could mean indefinitely. They will also probably detain you for a while to get you to rethink your decision. (This is US, I assume Canada has similar procedures)Nope... I can guarantee that it aint bull****. I presume I could have refused the phone unlock, but wouldn't that mean that I was hiding something from them? I mean, I would probably look like someone really bad in their eyes and also have some sort of mark on my record for not being cooperative. Which would, in turn, affect any future crossings??If you refuse they can't charge you with anything. However, they can keep your phone until they find out what's on it which could mean indefinitely.
