Hey guys, haven't posted in a while but I'm in need of some help. I'm stumped as to why my CRZ is suddenly giving me problems. My cylinder 4 sparkplug has exploded twice on me now, the second time actually melting my coil pack and pretty much borking that cylinder. It only recently started doing this, but now the car is undrivable until I figure out what to do and how to go about fixing it. I've got a new set of coil packs on the way because they're close to needing replacement anyway, but any advice on why my car keeps killing cylinder 4 specifically would be greatly appreciated

After two blow outs they are probably suspect.

The threads are still good, I meant to say that the sparkplugs quite literally exploded and broke apart

Wow that is really unusual.

Only asking because the NGK plugs on scamazon are nearly all counterfeit.

Is the ground strap still intact? Just blows the ceramic core out of the plug?

From what I can see, it doesn't look like it's there anymore but I'm waiting on a better camera to take a look inside

So maybe it's a case of the whole plug backed out.

Are they being installed with a torque wrench?

The LEA is notorious for spark plugs backing out and causing a blowout. I had a family member with an 09 Fit that had the spark plug blow out and cost him $700+ to run a helicoil to that cylinder. Make sure you are torquing the plugs down properly. should be somewhere close to 10 lbs/ft for the torque spec.
