I brought my car home yesterday and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to put in friends phone numbers.

Bluetooth is on on my phone (T-Mobile MyTouch Slide) and synced with the car, but I don't understand how to manually put numbers in. I've read the Nav. novel and nothing. I used to own an '07 TL-S with the same equipment, almost. I had no trouble in that car.

Anyone know anything on this? I'd appreciate some help.

Thanks.

You have to read the owners manual. It's not too involved, but its not one of the direct options. Unfortunately your phone doesn't automatically add numbers. You have to input al your contacts verbally.

Like I said, its not hard, I just can't remember how to do it without owners manual

I initially had a tough time too. Finally learned to be patient and waited for the beep to come on when I pushed and release the bluetooth talk button located on the steering wheel before I give it verbal command. The key is to wait for the audible beep before giving it a command. And most importantly do not do this while driving.

1. Push and release HFL Talk button wait for beep and say "Phonebook".
2. Push and release HFL Talk button again wait for beep and say "Store". Now it will ask you to say name of contact....engage HFL Talk button (always wait for audible beep) again and say name.
3. Push and release HFL Talk button and entered phone number. If you have question during the process...i.e. you don't know the exact command word, push and release the HFL Talk button and say "Hands-free help". If you entered the wrong number just push the hang up button below the HFL Talk button.
4. Push and release HFL Talk button ans say "Entered" to put the number into memory.

I believed you can import your phone book if you have navi but since I don't have navi can't confirm it.

Hope this help.;)

OK, so it's verbally. I couldn't find anything in the novel that is the Nav manual.

Edit: Ok, signed up for Owner's link, or whatever it's called. I watched the video and it all makes sense now. I wasn't aware you had to do it through voice commands.

Thanks everyone.

I know this a few months old, but in case anyone else does a search like I just did - you can also tell it to receive a contact and then send that contact from the phone.

You'll still have to verbally tell it what name to save it as, but at least this way you can save numbers you don't have memorized.

I haven't managed to get this to work yet. I get to the point where the HFT tells me to send the contact from the phone but I don't know what I need to do next?
The only logical option I can see on the phone is 'send business card' (by bluetooth) but that doesn't seem to do anything.
The phone is a Nokia 6303i classic which is supposed to be fully compatible according to hondahandsfree.com.
I guess I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what - any advice please?

Cool, thanks for the info. Does this only work with certain phones, or all/most?

Sorry for not replying much sooner. While in the vehicle, after the handsfree was waiting for the contact, my phone (Droid Incredible) had a "send contact card" option. This option is not normally present, only while the bluetooth connection is active.

I don't know why a similarly named option didn't work for you, lexicon :\
