I have a 2011 CR-Z , I have over 250k miles on it. I took a gamble and made a decision to invest $2500 to get it inspected and drive it 2 more years. Car runs great.!!! Well the inevitable happen the IMP light came on and know it's meg money to fix. I have know idea how to read whether it's charging or nor what goes where. I did read I could have the car rewired for fuel only. Will the dealerships do it first of all. I have called them. Phone tag for two weeks. What to do. I also need a front bumper with a grill. any suggestions. I have every light on the dash lit. Lol. But I love ❤ her and I don't want to give her up yet.

IMP Or do you mean IMA? If you mean IMA see the many postings by @PeterPerkins, but you need the codes. Sometimes you need a fan other times you need other low cost parts sometimes all you need is the directions to rejuvenate the IMA Battery other times you need to replace the IMA battery. It starts with getting the codes from a dealer or someone who has an HDS ( Honda Diagnostic System).

Is that light on alone or do you have many lights on if you have many usually it is just the Under hood 12 Volt battery replace it or have it load tested. Converting the car to gas only is very expensive and may require a different engine with an alternator. Dealer will not do it, and you will still have lights unless you do a K-swap or have a knowledgeable person help you. There are also 3rd party replacement batteries if you need one and in some states depending on the year of your car the IMA system may still have IMA warranty. If IMP I have no Idea what that is.

For front bumper and other body parts, use this site to get part numbers Genuine OEM Honda Parts and Accessories Online - Honda Parts Now and then web search for lowest price for new if you will accept used what you need is sometimes posted in a for sale thread other times you can web search or some have used this site Used CRZ Parts | Honda | 2011-2016 | Redline Auto Parts

Never ignore a warning light, find out what it is as sometimes the issue can leave you stranded

First step, if the under hood battery has never been changed or is more than 3 years old, just replace it, especially if you can't get the codes and have a lot of lights on!

You should not ignore it. What was the last time the little (12v) battery replaced? It can cause many issues. If it's more than 4 years old, you should replace it.

There is a charge/assist gauge that shows when it's charging or assisting. Above that gauge it shows the state of the IMA battery. I'm not an expert, and I only own mine for like a month, but I think if it assists at full blast when you floor it, and charges AND the IMA battery regenerates properly, then I don't think it's serious.

Change your 12V battery first. When I was having issues with my 12V battery dying I at one point had a Christmas tree of warning indicators come on until the car ran for a few minutes.

Let me simplify, change the under hood 12 Volt battery, and we are all presuming it was an IMA error not IMP.

Lots of lights change or load test the under hood 12 Volt battery (any parts place will load test for free) but it is a frequent replacement part, Just replace it.
