I bought mine this weekend...I didn't even know about the car or all the buzz. I went in to test drive a Civic, saw the CRZ, took it out for a drive and really liked it. Its fun to drive, looks great, and the price was right for a hybrid.

I haven't driven a hybrid before, which is a bit different, but I love watching the feedback as I am driving, especially the color changing lighting on the speedometer. On my 10 mile drive to work today I got 44 mpg in eco mode. It's not a fast car at this setting, but it really handles just fine, and the sports mode makes a nice difference with a some kick to it. Its the perfect combo of nerdy and cool. The one drawback is the poor visibilty backing up, but I think it'll just be a little adjustment in where to look as compared to 'normal' cars.

All in all I love it, it made buying a new car exciting. It's fun watching people checking it out while I'm on the road.

Got mine too.

Went to the local dealership in Auburn CA on Sunday morning to see if the Zs were in yet. I arrived as the store was opening and there was a North Shore Blue, EX Navi, 6spd on display. My wife and I were considering a two seater sporty car with room for our dog. Took it for a spin and bought it later on that day. It will be my commute car (75 miles each day). I am a middle school teacher and we have special parking for alt fuel vehicles just a few steps from my classroom, so that was almost worth the price of admission. I am hoping that the gas mileage will be equal or better than my 07 Civic LX 5 spd coupe which gets 36 miles per gallon and will go over 400 miles per tankfull like clockwork every week. I am a little disappointed that the gas tank is so small, but as long as I only have to fill up once a week that will be okay.

The cross bar in the hatch in the rearview mirror takes a little getting used to, but it seems to be perfectly positioned to block annoying headlights from cars behind me at night. I am going to build a platform for my dog to fit over the "rear cargo console" as it's called on the window sticker. I'll make it hinged at the rear so I can store stuff under the dog bed. I will post pictures once I get this completed.

The nav system is very similar to the navi in my wife's 04 TSX with the voice commands and general appearance. I am wondering if I can update her maps with the DVD in the Z. I will let you know.

I am very pleased after the first commute day. The Z is quieter than the Civic and the display says I am getting about 38 mpg. The outside temp was reading 103 today, when I left work, but the interior cooled down after a few miles. I am still getting used to the different modes and the engine shutting off at stop lights.

I was hoping that my next car was going to be a Porsche Cayman, but those German cars just end up leaking oil all over the garage floor anyway.

when i got in the car and started it for the first time with a full tank it showed 421miles. After driving 70ish in Econ mostly i now have 383miles. drove 70 miles spent 50 miles in gas.....not bad

I found a 5 year old, 25 lb Cocker/Poodle cross at a shelter in July 2009. After a three hour drive home, with him sitting in the passenger seat snoozing, I was surprised to find that there was not one hair in the car. He loves going for rides and will awaken from a coma when he hears car keys. After a nine hour drive from Oregon to our house in Northern CA, he got out of the car, took a leak, then got back in thinking we were just taking a break. I can't deny him his simple pleasures, so he will soon have a platform behind the seats. The only drawback of having him in the car is that he sometimes puts his nose on the passenger window and leaves nose prints.

Yes, I liked that there could be enough room in the back for my 80lb lab too. Not ready for the dog hair all over my new baby yet.

I can identify with this somewhat. Most of my hair fell out when I owned my CRX-Si. (Bad perm.) Due to having the sunroof open, a lot of it got blown into the carpeted rear hatch area.

I don't think I'll have that problem with CRZ. Not due to lack of sunroof, but from lack of hair.
