HPD suspension

Not sure if this stuff is even available anymore. Liked the fact it dropped the car the least out of anything else I saw.

I see it says it won't fit 2016 CRZs. Is this actually the case? If it is, what's the difference and if it isn't, how do you like it?

In theory it should fit but it's likely discontinued by now. You should look at the KW suspension for these cars.

The KW are a bit pricy but you are correct. Had I gone straight KW instead of Tein springs to new OEM springs plus the Koni Orange and all new OEM hardware it would have been negligible. The KW do drop a bit more than I want (I have to back into my driveway not to rub) and their tallest setting doesnt look too aggressive.
GO BC racing and don't look back. I had them on my old 11 and moved them over to my now wrecked 16 and they were mint. held up strong for the 2 years I ran them. totally worth the money.

These are nice too. Did a lot of research on them for my Fiesta. One of my biggest complaints even with coils for the CRZ is the minimum drop is usually enough to cause me to rub. I just had my front bumper repainted and its already low enough to rub my driveway with oem springs unless i back it in.

Side note, did I read somehwere you may be doing BC's on your FiST? I am going to pick your brain on those as far as top nuts(rear squeak), settings etc.
@akiraproject24 you will not have any issues with putting the HPD suspension on the 2016.

actually getting the HPD suspension on the other hand might be an issue. For what it's worth, Showa tuning was the OEM supplier for this kit - it's readily available with the Showa branding, but not with the HPD branding applied.

Yeah! Thats the plan on the Fiesta. For what it's worth... I didnt have any rubbing issues running BC's on both my 16 and old 11 with a 1" drop all around. Even with -1 deg camber up front and almost -2 deg in the rear. BC's are just plain and simple the best bang for the buck suspension and can handle lots of abuse.
The only thing that makes a 16 different from the rest of the CRZ is a few cosmetic changes, wider rear track and different ECU. It also has push button start and electronic park brakes.
I have Modulo coilovers for sale with only 45k km/28k miles used. They are the same as HPD but with added 5-way dampening. They were also made by Showa. Modulo was a JDM/EDM available brand.

I think I may actually grab these. Reached out to RHDjapan to try and find out if they come with the fronts fully assembled or not and if the rears come with bumpstops and dustshields.

I tried to look into Showa further but on youtube its all motorcycle and powersports suspension.

Anyone seen Skittydoogle? Interested in checking with their source on a set of these shipped. The shipping from RHD is about 2 hundo

I reached out to RHD Japan via email to find out if the suspension is preassembled as in photos with bump stops and dust shields.

Response was "we do not use this email please enter a help ticket on your account.." So I did and their response to that was....."It looks like you asked same question via email for this product. " Anyhow I've yet to figure out the answers to these questions. And my internet search only yields RHD as seller of the Showa suspension.

The CRZ is like a challenge. My Fiesta is so easy to mod out.
Update, finally got a response from RHDJapan about the Showa Tuning suspension. They said that it comes as shown assembled. This is pretty cool as the shocks/struts would have bumpstops already installed and sized correctly and wouldn't need to cut down the ones I have.

I didn't expect so many people to miss me lol. I'm still at bootcamp but will be home soon. Falling out due to very premature injury and a long as hell bureaucratic process getting separated. I'm still a little baffled as to why so many people want these damn things. They come not assembled and require a lot of parts to be recycled from the original struts. I spent more than $300 at the time (likely more expensive now) just so I didn't have to stick my OEM struts in a spring compressor to take it apart.

I recommend the KW suspension kit because it's height adjustable and actually much cheaper overall, plus the springs are much stiffer, almost twice as stiff both front and rear with stiffer springs in the rear just like the HPD setup. A problem I have with mine is they get way too stiff in very cold weather, meaning they were a cheap shock in the first place. Just get the KWs. I would get them if I needed to replace mine.

I doubt it's that cheap anymore. Shipping across the board is much more expensive ever since Covid. You're talking about very large and heavy struts. Cheapest would be shipping by sea. Even still US pricing on the KW V1s are gonna be cheaper since they have retailers here in the USA. Plus, again, height adjustment is really nice to have.
Found you a link to the KWs. Please check my discussion page on the aftermarket resources page if you really just have to have the HPD setup. You could buy the Spoon Sports shocks and the RS-R lowering springs (they're the same damn thing as the Spoon springs).

I ended up going with the Showa Tuning suspension. I used your contact and his pricing was excellent to say the least. I didn't want to deal with coilovers on this car, and your guy did confirm the fronts come as shown fully assembled, so the bumpstops will be ready to go. I picked up all new oem bushings, bolts, washers and bearings when I did the Koni orange thing so I can reuse whatever needs reusing but it won't be much as the fronts will come assembled with everything. Soon I'll have fresh showa suspension, new oem control arms and spoon rigid collars....I get more excited about this thing sometimes than my FiST.
