That moment when the lanes are gonna merge and the car next to you sees that hybrid badge and speeds up, but you pop it into sport mode and show them whats what

Will you be painting or otherwise making the Disc Rotor Hats nice looking too? I know some have had them painted in High heat paint. Mine are looking quite rusty :frown2:
I read an article once where they were painted in place but that would not be ideal. People have done this kind of work with the car up on 4 jack stands. When I have a house and the car is paid off I want one of these https://www.quickjack.com/ so this stuff is easy.Mine are nasty too. No I haven't considered it. That's a part of the rotor that you can see there? Sounds like a PITA, take the rotors all the way off to paint them, then it's gottadry for a while before use and your car is chilling on a lift. I think that's why i haven't considered it
Looks like the BL-5000SLX is the model to get--even though the BL-3500SLX is hefty enough to lift the CR-Z, it doesn't reach the min/max lift points of our cars (plus, you'll get the option of using it on heavier vehicles.):wink2:I read an article once where they were painted in place but that would not be ideal. For $340 difference that makes a lot of sense. The car on the BL-3500SLX in the picture when I first looked at it looked like a CR-Z to me. Thank you for checking the lift points. I am clueless about where the right lift points are.:grin2:Looks like the BL-5000SLX is the model to get--even though the BL-3500SLX is hefty enough to lift the CR-Z, it doesn't reach the min/max lift points of our cars (plus, you'll get the option of using it on heavier vehicles.):wink2:
Well, the BL-3500SLX will technically work, but you only have a half of an inch to play with, which is not worth the chance of crushing the plastic sill panel. Good investment for @HondaHolly and @RachetRex too!:grin2:For $340 difference that makes a lot of sense. The car on the BL-3500SLX in the picture when I first looked at it looked like a CR-Z to me. The coating likely needs to be removed from the mounting surfaces as powder coat is quite thick. Likewise if the lug nut seating surfaces and back of the wheel hub weren't masked it can pose serious safety and mounting issues and must be stripped from those contact surfaces, this is why most wheels come with bare unpainted hub mounting surfaces and good wheels come with bare uncoated lug nut seats.Next I get my Advans re-powder coated and the center caps and center nuts don't fit.
Brake calipers can reach 500°F easily and heat cycle every time they're driven. Some paints can withstand that for a decent amount of time but not so sure about the longevity of using a wrap on a brake caliper. Now today I notice the wrap on the RSX caliper that brand new a year ago and corroded quickly, the wrap is lifting (probably because of the corrosion).
