Hey there!

I was wondering if anyone in the L.A. area disinterested in running GMR.

I just got my car, and I'm already pumped to take it for a nice drive. :vtec:

Would anyone be interested in going? And if so, when would be best for you?

GMR is fun to run, but there are pros/cons.

Daytime:

Pros: It's light out, you can see everything, you can see cars/police hiding, etc
Cons: Lots of bikers and motorcyclists out there taking up space in the one lane

Night time:

Pros: No bikers, barely any motorcyclists
Cons: it's dark out, people misjudge their turns and a lot have tumbled down the cliffs..

I kinda prefer night runs, but I don't go out there too often. Gas prices FTL :/

Yes, I haven't been there in years. First place high ( greater than 30ft.) I jumped off with a hangglider in the 1970s. One of these days I don't know yet, but I am up for it. K

I'm an occasional "guest" on GMR. Actually, I will be there this Saturday around 1pm. If anyone of you go there, you will see me.

I've only been up there during nighttime, and that was in my Scion. If you take a nice drive without overdoing it, you should be fine.

Careful guys, a lot of cops roaming the area the last couple years! Awesome Sunday morning drive though, I really ought to get out and do it soon!

I've only driven up there once, at night, and saw little more than trucks off to the side. :hump:
This was a couple months ago.

I went up there last night with a couple friends. So long as you don't do anything stupid, it's really fun.
