The black trim pieces at the front and rear of the door have to be removed, the door panel does not. I suppose you could remove the mirror but it's not necessary, I didn't. The weatherstrip itself just clips into place.

I removed the inside plastic trim at the back of the door, thinking there might be a screw or screws that hold the outside trim in. There are two screws underneath. Do they hold the outside trim on? I can't figure out the front trim at all, inside or outside. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I have scoured Youtube and elsewhere but find no instructions anywhere. The only ones that show it being replaced already have the door completely apart because they are replacing the door handles or something else. UPDATE: found a shop manual someone so kindly uploaded here. It confirmed what to do (inside & outside back trim only, then removing the two screws from under the inside trim. Then weather strip pulls right out pretty easily after that).
