I just did this. I got all the LEDs working except for the front. I used every bulb every which way and it just won't light up the LED panel. What am I doing wrong? I'm pretty sure the small bulb is the correct adapter to use.

WTF?

Edit: Looking back at the DIY, I didn't even get a cargo area bulb. WTF??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

PM sent to T1R's rep on here.

Front? Do you mean the Map Lights.. or the Doors?

On the Map Lights.. use the small festoon bulb adapter... and test it before finishing the mount. pop the bulb in, plug in the board.. if it doesn't light... switch polarity on the festoon bulb. I had to do that ! If that doesn't work, they may be bad.

Initially I didn't get the cargo bulb either, and had to complain about it (since it was in the original add they listed). They later told me that they were going to stop sending those.. to cut costs or something. They did send one (same as the map lights... the adapter bulbs, and the LED board).

What did they charge you for shipping? Little tiny box.. and it cost me over $20 bucks...

Shatner.. get it figured out? Bad bulbs?
Haven't had time, but I think that's the culprit. They sent 3 packs of the little universal LED panel with bulb adapters. I'm wondering if this is known or if they miscounted.

On a related note. I was running around last night and the LEDs look incredibly awesome in there!

If they sent three of those.. then you did get the cargo area light.. those are for the map lights and one for the cargo area. You may also have to switch polarity on the plug for the adapter. You should of also got four of the T10 5 LED bulb? for the doors and "backseat" area?

I only got 4 T10 bulbs. While installing I completely forgot about the cargo area. When I get in there and finish it I'll check out the cargo area.

I switched polarities any which way possible on one of the front lights.

I'm taking today off so maybe I'll get to it.

4 T10's is all you need! Doors and "backseat" area!

The LED panel lights (map and cargo) are kind of weird... I had to play with bulb placement on mine to get them working.. at first they didnt.. then they did! And haven't failed since. Test the LED board by plugging in the T10 adapter into a door light.. and plug the LED board into it.. that way you can make sure the boards are good.

I just sayed screw it and GTFO there to finish it up. You're right, about the cargo, you just don't use a festoon adapter. Got the fronts finished up. I'm not sure I like my LED panel placement. Has anyone found a great spot for the map lights?

Thanks CRaZee!

Anytime, brother! I will try to get a shot of how I mounted mine.. and post it for you. Works pretty well, but the panels are still a little large for that area behind the lens.

Ok so my update. Sorry I work offshore a lot and dont have time to go home often. So i do not have pics of the installed LEDS and FESTOONS.

I ordered from bestofhongkong.com

The 4LED 31mm Festoons work great. I put the blue in the overhead, door, behind seats. And for the trunk White LED. Now I have it set to turn on lights when the door is open or you turn the key too off. Let me tell you the blue is really nice. It is not Blaring blue, but a more nice ambient blue for you to grab your items and leave your car. I really enjoy it, it is the perfect amount of light for me. Not to mention at night when you unlock your car the whole interior grows blue. Very sweet IMO. Will try to get a pic, but it could be a month or better before I see my car again.
Well, I just placed my order (it is just besthongkong.com for their url) and I hope to have pics up shortly after I get them.

I ordered an extra pair of the blue T10's just in case I get a bad one, or to give me the option to use one for the back (white T10's ordered as well), and both white and blue festoons to give me the option of blue/white up front.

i just swapped out the license plate bulb for a set of white t10's that i got on deal extreme at $3 for the pair, and the are BRIGHT. very classy looking, makes the car look so much cleaner.

i wanted to comment on the process in case anyone had difficulty like me. the recommendation on this thread, as in the manual, is to use a flat head screw driver with cloth or tape to get the lens off, but i found it much easier to use the smallest flat head in a mini screw driver set, like the ones used for eyeglasses. use this screw driver.

next, look at the lens under the bumper with a flash light, on the sides you can sort of see where the lens clips into the black bracket that holds it in place, it's just like the lenses in the car. now, if you are righty, remove the lenses from their right sides, as it is easier to access that way as a righty, and vice versa for lefties.

to actually get the lens out, wedge the tiny flat head in the center of either side, and then push it as far up as possible. next, simply begin to push the grip of the screw driver away from the enclosure, and it may pop off, if not, use your free hand to help pull it out.

once out, swap the bulbs and test (either turn on headlights, or just use the remote to lock/unlock). if it lights up, replace the lens by inserting one side in first, pushing it up and then pushing the other side up. it will pop back in. if it doesn't light up, flip the bulb. also, the bulbs are vertically aligned, meaning the long part of the connector runs parallel with the side of the car.

even the bulbs were a bit tricky to get in at that angle, you really need to look up there, try to line it up, as close as you can, and just turn it left or right a bit to get it to go into the slot. that is all, lol!
