I've noticed that my car sometimes runs a little unevenly at low RPMs in 1st - based on some things I've read/heard this may mean I'm due for a spark plug replacement. My thought is 'why not upgrade?'

Looking around on here, I've seen the Denso IK22 mentioned as a good replacement/upgrade for spirited driving and autocross.
I see Denso IK22 and Denso IK22G online. Which is the correct part for a 2013 6MT? Denso IK22 #5310?

Also watch out for knock-off DENSO and NGK plugs. Not worth it and may even cause engine damage.

I was looking to get the IK22s, not the stock replacement. Like I said, trying to go a step colder for spirited driving and autocross.
I guess 5310 is the correct part number for IK22s that work on our car?

Not that Honda has a billion dollar engine development program or anything and makes some of the most reliable engines out there. They might know best what sparkplugs to use on an otherwise stock engine.

... as if there's no such thing as mechanical tuning (Plus, Honda engineers on a hybrid designed for high mileage aren't always focusing on performance)

Intake and exhaust don't make a significant difference in power output. Less than 5%. That's absolutely no reason to run a colder plug.

If you have doubled the power output then maybe consider a colder plug.
