Yo, I just recently picked up on a creaking noise that's made every time I depress the clutch pedal. It sounds like an old squeaky door.

It happens outside the car (I hear it when the window is down) and regardless of the car being on or off.

So, I'm wondering if it's the push pin in the slave cylinder that needs lube (good) , the fingers on the Diaphragm spring just being old (hope not)... Or if it's something more serious (replace?) . I assumed it wasn't the throw out bearing because it also happens when the car is off.

Other than that... Doesn't affect drivability... Just want to get rid of the noise

Thanks guys

lube the pin, but otherwise, I've had clutch pressure plates creak in particularly cold or humid weather, with no real problems down the road.

I think it's less the diaphragm spring making noise, and more the pivot points for the fingers.
