Ok, so true to say that the MPG's nothing to sing about but the emissions are pretty low - less than 120g/km. That means only £35 per year in road tax and no congestion charge in London - I guess that's only really a bright side for us in the UK!

Yep, the CO2 Values look promising - would be tax exempt here. Not that big a deal but still nice. We'll see for the gas mileage, somehow the factory figures never come close to what I personally see in real life (for good or bad).

Bit worried about the consumption on the autobahn, The hybrid won't help that much when humming along at 100 mph. Or perhaps it will if there is a lot of changes in speed due to high traffic? Will have to find out myself ...

I have a Civic 2.2 Diesel Type S in the UK, it has 140bhp and good handling. I can get 50-55mph on every day driving and close to 60 mpg on the motorway. I am due to change it in October and would look at a CR-Z but if it only delivers 32-35 mpg think it will be another Civic, especially since the Civic will have more room.

the "estimated" US numbers are 6MT=31c/37h and CVT=36c/38h... i'm not exactly sure what the conversion to Imperial Gallons is but i'm sure it's closer to the 60mpg mark that people think... and this is tested in "Normal" mode so "Economy" will for sure get better numbers...

please people check the date on these threads this one is well over 3 months old and has outdated info!
Funny how Ford can build the huge Fusion Hybrid and get 41mpg city 36mpg hwy 0-60 8.4s while estimates for the tiny CR-Z will be less AND the car will be SLOWER!?!?!?!?!?!?

FAIL!
Ford uses a Full-Hybrid System like the Toyota's... Honda's IMA is a Mild-Hybrid System, so of course the numbers will "seem" higher with the other cars as opposed to Honda's... My take on this is, if Honda is getting this kind of mileage from a Mild-Hybrid, i could only imagine what their gonna get in the next 1-3 years when they release a full hybrid system...

ohh and according to the numbers here the CR-Z isn't as slow as initial reports... 0-60 in 8.3 seconds and they said that they think Honda is being conservative too... check it out... http://www.crzforum.com/forum/news-...ne-honda-cr-z-test-drive-review.html#post1902
