Clutch noise

Hello again my friends,
I have a noise coming from the clutch in first gear and reverse (MT). It starts when the car begins to move and it goes away after the full relise of the pedal. In the rest of the gears it doesn’t to it, only from stand still leave. The previous owner told me that he changed the clutch recently (that was 5 months ago when I bought the car. I’ll try to record the sound and attach it. So the previous owner lied to me or he used cheap parts.... i’ve done around 6.000 km since i bought the cr-z and i’m not such a bad driver to destroy a clutch that quickly :))

i made a video here (it’s uploaded on my youtube channel, I couldn’t find another way)

If it's happening when pressing on or releasing the pedal, it's the throw out bearing. Some of the cheap ones that come with kits really suck. That's why I always suggest oem when it comes to these types of bearings. Sadly, you have to pull the transmission to replace it.

Thank you so much. As long as it solves the problem, i will do it.
FIXED! While i was at my mechanic to change the clutch fluid, he told me that the clutch pedal engages to low (and it’s not pressing on the pressure plate enough )and thats why sometimes hooks when putting into gear and makes that noise, so he adjusted my pedal and it’s solved!💪🏼

Costin is this problem still fixed or did it comeback? I heard something similar in my CR-Z. It happen only on 1st gear when accelerating from standstill. Sometimes it happen more often, sometimes there's no sound at all

This video below shows better when this noise appear

I did some research through Honda forums an it look like this is more common problem in the Accord models. People there suggest, that honda didn't put enough grease on the clutch pilot bearing bushing p/n 22103-rna-004. Did you guys discover similar kind of noise while accelerating from standstill?

After i did the clutch fluid change and adjusted the pedal everything was working fine. Putting the car in any gear was smooth, no more hooks and the noise was gone, but after a few days the noise came back, it is less noticeable now (it can not be recorded because the engine noise it’s louder and it covers it) and the car runs with no issues. For the moment i can live with it and i am planning to change the clutch in the future and i will attend it then.
The clutch pilot bearing bushing....sounds like an easy fix but it hard to get to it.

Sounds easy but the gearbox need be dropped to fix it. Today finally I've managed to make a video how does it sound in my CR-Z. Seriously...I've tried maybe twenty times to record it and every time it didn't appear and when I stopped filming it did. So I used a hidden camera :D

Yes, that’s the same noise i have. I was planning to live with it until I change the clutch but you got me curious with that bearing bushing. I will try to grease it next weekend

Okay guys, so what was the verdict of that crz making noise from the clutch in the youtube post? I have the same issues with my crz. So is it the throw bearing?

For the moment is the only explication, so yes ...
Glad i'm not the only one. I had this issue pop up in the past week but was unsure what it was
Quick update. In my case the noise is gone after doing 500-mile trip. Before I drove mostly short trips and after driving for a bit longer it finally disappeared ;)
Sucks about the PO using non-OEM parts. OEM is well worth the extra coin, especially since our gear boxes are "Honda-Perfect".
Sorry guys its not that easy take it from someone that has, tr I ed it all the new clutch pack flywheel pressure plate throwout bearing , I spent a hole Lotta my hard earned money , replaced it all only to find that same f ing noises the problem unsolved. Those transmissions should have been recalled cut that is where the problem lies ,the trans?ission, the bearings inside of the transmission ,save yourself a bunch of time and money and just go straight to it take the tyranny out and fix the real problem ,have the tyranny rebuilt, I'm just saying
I took a car to the Honda garage and they found, that one of the springs on the clutch plate was vibrating and making this noise...

This is the same issue I have, almost only when it's cold or I'm reversing into a spot. Did you end up resolving this sound?

Firstly Honda garage replaced the clutch pilot bearing bushing and there was no noise for first 1000 miles and then it came back. They were suggesting, that one of the springs on clutch plate was loose and could be causing this issue...and I stupidly ignored it.
Now I bought a genuine clutch kit and will be replacing it at some point.

Damn ! It is EXACTLY this.

But it is never regular. Like 1 on 10 times, and occur a lot more after 30min of driving.

Always on a standstill when depressing in 1st, and ESPECIALLY if Gearbox-Engine RPM gap is important. If I give a good rev to climb a bump or if I'm a bit high in the revs and releasing slooowly (2500rpm start).

Very hard to capture on video, I've yet to capture it.

For people having this issue for a "long time", does it get worse ? No other issue than this strange metal rumbling ?
I may be able to live with it, but if it damaging stuff in the gearbox like main shaft, it could be a lot smarter to replace the clutch and the few bearing at the same time.

But if its stuff like clutch spring its not an "issue"

yeah, noise comes and goes, random/intermittent.
