That's what she said. :surprise:
So wrong. Hahaha.

Seriously though, this thing is quality. When you pick it up, you can tell it was designed super well. And its super solid. Just feels right. I know that sounds strange, but WOW, I'm impressed!

Now I'm wondering if I should have picked up ball joints while I'm doing all this crap. Mine have over 200k.

So going over a couple of details, I realize I bought the 'lifting eyelet' that Honda recommends here, but I don't have the bolt. Guess I am going to have to pick one up, along with a spacer.

Anyone know what I should use for a spacer?? I'm assuming it doesn't need to be anything too strong, or does it?:

I'm guessing I could pick one up at the local hardware store, along with the spacer.. hopefully.

This thread, and everyone who commented, the videos that op posted, has helped me to pull my transmission, crack it open, and find my issue. A busted main shaft bearing. Pieces everywhere. I’m going to get better pics to post up in the daylight, so a complete write up. But know this, I was inspired to tackle this, instead of just buying a new transmission, or just taking it to a shop, because of this thread right here. I am in no way a mechanic, but getting it done. Thanks for doing what you do guys, the lurkers appreciate you.

Kill ima, Drain trans, pull axels, half shaft shroud and shaft, air box, motor mounts, fan and overflow drivers side, remove linkage, slave cyl, Jack under oil pan, jack under trans, pull trans bolts top bolt behind motor faces pass side it is a bitch, keep it pulled forward to miss the subframe, lifted with a strap by hand used jack to change position. Broke trans case open like in video, 3 bolts w/detent balls, had to bring the clutch case to a shop they drilled race till it broke out money well spent took him an hour at least they set gasket and bearing, gears had marks but nothing broken, slapped case together and put it all together, pulls fine in all gears, over all, it was a pain in the ass, but with a average mechanical experience, and extra hands, you can do this in 2 days. Trans going back in it helped to be able to jack motor up and down to get it to line up. I know this isn’t a proper write up, life’s in the way atm but I wanted to quick update, and I hope to put a proper post up by the weekend.
