Hi Guys,

Service for the CRZ is up soon and I've got a lot of 5w30 sythetic oil lying around unopened.

Can this be used to no ill effects on the CRZ?

Yea - don't know if it would actually hurt anything. Especially if in warm weather. But the 1.5, autostop is best with 00w20 syn.. at nominal temps, makes autostop/start easier on the engine and will get the best mileage. I wouldn't use the 5w30..

I guess no harm in using 5w30 oil in UK (rather warm winters, with rarely -5 Celsius degree)? Asking as I bought 5w30 without checking first the service book which now I know recommends 0w20.
Edit: eventually I decided to go for Motul 0w20 for Hybrid Petrol engines.
