I know... Another infotainment thread...

But it's 2022, and with all these updates on Android and Iphone and all this technology advancing I wanted to create a thread with some advance systems that you all recommend.

It will be the first (besides tires) upgrade ill do to this beauty 2014 CR-Z that I just got. Its the EX but no nav.

I doo Doordash for a living so spend a lot of time in the streets, i need to stop looking at my phone to see google maps (I got Android)

What are the best radio systems out there right now for our Hondas? What do you have and does it work well with an Android phone?

I just want to hook up my phone to listen to music and see a big screen that will show google maps but want to be able to set up Google maps directions from my phone to the system and run.

Thanks in advance. And its been awesome reading post of this great forum.

something with android auto will be the best. what's your price range?

generally, the best units are pioneer, (they also make a lot of OEM units for different manufacturers), the next best is alpine, the next best is Kenwood, and then Sony. anything after that is generally not great, but it depends on your price range

I have a 2004 pilot that I just installed a Sony XAV AX8100 in, and I like it a lot. It's low on features, but it's a simple interface and has an HDMI port in for true screen mirroring as well. I should add, Sony has had some reliability issues, but most of these occur out of the box

I bought a Seicane bc you get a lot for the price, but haven't been able to get any audio output from it. Just powers on... very frustrating, I've had it for like two months trying to get it to work but couldn't. Buy something reputable

2 more things - make sure everything has the ability to interface with your steering wheel controls, and whoever does the install, if you go with one that has screen mirroring, needs to install a parking brake bypass for use while moving

good luck!

crutchfield.com has a lot of good units, if you're looking at one, post it here - someone may have CRZ specific knowledge (steering controls are wonky, etc). crutch field is usually pretty good, but they have been wrong in my experience

It looks pretty good, and I may buy it eventually, but the only thing that bothers me is why don't they allow you to change the vehicle 3D model on the unit? You think for spending almost $500 they could have at least included a wide variety of vehicles for the 360-view 3D model. Also, I imagine you would need a separate CR-Z headunit panel to fit this screen if you have the older 2011-2012 CR-Z radio with the CD player.
EDIT: If it came with a panel, I hope you chose the correct one depending on if you drive a LHD or RHD vehicle lol.

I have a Seicane radio installed by the previous owner. Everything works and it even has a backup camera installed and working perfectly. Steering wheel controls can be programmed to do almost anything. It runs Android and can be used for google maps or any other GPS navigation apps.

Hi! 10000% recommend Teyes cc3. Absolutely amazing stuff. If you have trouble with installation hit me up. Did have yo modify a thing or two but man it was easy to install!

I got it from their website not ali express. Their website is australian.

Anyway 100% recommend.

Looks awesome! What add-in’s did you get with it? Thinking about getting the CC3 360 Camera upgrade kit, TPMS, OBDII, and Parking sensors.

Yea theres so many good stuff!!!
I got it only with the HD front camera. Super easy to install. Oh, my main fuse blew out after installing so car had no hybrid motor and no lights i was freaking out so bad but it was just the main #1 fuse. Seems like a common thing to blow when changing the radio system.
