With the wrap up of the Tokyo Motor Show 2009 on November 4th, the official countdown to the 2010 North American International Auto Show has begun. The show is taking place in the Cobo Center in Detriot Michigan from January 11 - 24, 2010.

This is CR-Z Forum's official thread with breaking news from Detroit with the latest information, rumors, pictures and specifications about the 2011 Honda CRZ. Please feel free to post any information you may find or any guesses or wishes that you may have for the upcoming Honda CRZ.

Thankfully we will be finally seeing the production Honda CRZ at the show this year! Will be interesting to see the 100% complete CRZ it all its beauty and get to nitpick all the things we don't like.

I just want this car to be out now and no more car shows At least this car show is a little closer to home though!

Predictions:

No more funky blue lights
A price announcement for Japan
Release Date for Japan announced - probably May 2010
More engine details, maybe we might get to see under the hood
Two different engine types
Two different transmissions - 6 speed manual and a 5 speed auto
Some estimated tech numbers - MPG, HP, Torque

I was looking at the pictures in the pictures forum and the near production model interior is very close to final I'm sure. But since its a right handed drive, do you think we will see a left handed drive vehicle at Detroit?

Yes, I think it will be the first time we see the true US version. It will knock your socks off when you see the production!....I hope

No more blue lights and a steering wheel on the proper side. Maybe some different wheels also but I think we have seen what the the final version will look like.

I had planned to go Detroit, but now that looks unlikely. If you are lucky enough to go and see things first hand, here are some areas I would like to see answered with photos:

1. Description of the exhaust system w/photos
2. Close-up photos of head and tail lights
3. Photos of instrument panel/gauges close-up
4. Photos + description of seats and interior
5. Engine compartment photo
6. Close-up photo of wheels

Other members of the Forum will probably be interested in these items too. Let's hope at least one of us will be there to provide a first hand view and description of the Star of the Show.

Maybe a leaked American brochure too

Should be an awesome trip to take in the show and the CR-Z. Have you attended before? It is quite the event.

I have never been to the NAIAS (or Detroit for that matter), even though it is only a 3.5 hour drive. I am looking forward to getting the final production specs on the CRZ incl pricing, performance, and MPG's.
