I'm about to swap my factory navi head unit and I think I'm going into the aftermarket route and since you've already swapped yours I have a question:

Why did you bought and installed a Metra dashkit with your setup when you had a factory double DIN dash kit from your factory navigation unit? (and had to overcome the hassle of the hazard and airbag warning switches)
Isn't the factory dash kit compatible with a standard double DIN? I am going to buy an aftermarket double DIN but I will want to retain the factory dash and hazard/airbag switches but then I see your comments and now I can't guarantee full compatibility with the stock dash kit. Can you enlighten me in this topic?
