Question How to check CR-Z 2014 version and VIN

I recently bought 2014 Honda Cr-Z but I am not sure which variant is it. I tried searching for it over the net but couldn't find it. My question is, how I can find my car's VIN number, where is it located?

Vin should be located in multiple locations, but the 2 easiest to find are on the dash(looking through the windshield) and the door frame(driver side). Also, depending on what country you live in, you can tell what trim you have by certain features. For example, in the US the EX has factory installed fog lights and a sub woofer.

Yeah.. as said above. Just look in the front windshield on the drivers side (left side within the USA) for the number plate.

You can also find it on a sticker on the drivers side door sill. Open the door, and its right there. The VIN will start with a number like:

JHMZ.....

Once you locate your VIN, go to this website
https://www.vindecoder.net/car-brand-manufacturer/honda
and enter it into the box labeled "Honda car VIN check:" and hit decode

Since you are not the original owner, check that all VIN's match the one you see riveted to the dash--other locations:
inner lip of the hatch
underside of the hood
front fenders--on rear edge, near door hinges
door jamb

There's a VIN sticker on all the body parts. It's just a VIN, not a Vehicle Identification Number number.

Are you in the US? The EX has foglights. The NAV model has a navigation screen.
