Rear Wiper Longest size that fits?

I just did my annual Wiper and Air Filter change and decided to try a longer blade for the rear. I changed from a 16" to an 18". For those of you who still have rear Wipers what is the longest blade you have tried?

Just curious and others might be interested.

On my old Z I swapped in an 18 inch, I believe someone else had gone with a 20 shortly after that, not remembering who that was though. I haven't had to change out the one on Red yet, not sure if I'll give that the viagra treatment yet.

Come to think of it, I believe I get to accept credit for giving you this idea.

I like the stock one. I mean, how else am I not supposed to see out the rear window?

Seriously though, I have thought about doing this, and glad you posted that you did! How do you like it?

I think it would be useful for me during winter, but, glad winter is over for now!!

It was a spur of the moment thing when I was standing in Walmart looking at the blades and realizing I could go longer. I had to go to Walmart because the vendor I ordered from on Amazon sent a Trico "Exact Fit" rear blade but it had the wrong kind of connection despite the site having my CR-Z in my garage there and it being an exact fit for this car. They refunded my money and I did not want to wait. All the Michelin blades at Walmart were $4.57 No matter the length which was less than the online vendor charged me.

I don't see the picture here on the web site or the website via a mobile device I use.

Haven't used it since I installed yesterday but have always thought the 16" looked too small and there was a lot of room for longer. I ran it one sweep and it does not hit anything other than glass. Since all lengths were same price I figured I had nothing to lose and now it makes it the same length as one of the fronts.( can we make all three the same length?) In winter pushing huge amounts of snow may break the rear motor or arm that maybe why they use such a small blade. I keep a folding Harbor Freight squeegee in my car and I clear all glass ( and lights) with that before moving car. Longer blade will help while driving though.

The front is more critical for length due to the area they work in so for front can't go much longer and I would be afraid to try due to hitting parts of the car that are not glass.

not to get in a measuring Contest but mine's 20"

20 is well within spec, I suspect you could go all the way up to 22' if you wanted to wipe out past the clear glass and onto the blacked out area, you might get some aero lifting at speed though.

Good information for next year. Can we use 22” for all 3 or 20”?
